A. Biblical Borders

According to the Hebrew Bible the Land of Israel is the region which G-D promised to the descendants of Abraham through his son Isaac and to the descendants of Jacob, Abraham's grandson. After G-D changed Jacob’s name to "Israel" (Genesis 32:28) the promised land became known as the "Land of Israel", in Hebrew "ארץ ישראל"(Eretz Yisrael).

When the Lord made the covenant with Abram, he said: “Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates.” (Genesis 15:18). In this passage of scripture the Lord defined the northern and southern borders of Israel, long before the nation of Israel came into existence. From the river of Egypt in the south to the great river Euphrates in the north would include all of modern day Lebanon and three-fourths of modern day Syria.

When the Lord spoke to Moses about the Promised Land in (Numbers 34:1-15), he specifically laid out the southern, western, northern and eastern borders of the Land. Thus the promised borders of Israel run from the wilderness on the east side of the Jordan river to the uttermost sea (Red Sea) on the west side of the Sinai: and from the Euphrates river in the north, to the river of Egypt in the south.

Finally, in (Ezekiel 47:13-20), we read about the borders of the Land in which the twelve tribes of Israel will live during the final redemption, at the end of days. The borders of the land described by the text in Ezekiel include the northern border of modern Lebanon, eastwards (the way of Hethlon) to Tz’dad and Hatzar-Einon in modern Syria. On the side of the Negev toward the south it will be from Tamar (Ein Gedi) on the western shore of the Dead Sea to Meribah Kadesh (Kadesh Barnea). The west side will be the Mediterranean Sea. The territory defined by these borders is divided into twelve lots for each of the twelve tribes.

B. Historical Borders

Under King David, Israel expanded greatly, controlling a number of weaker client states like Philistia, Moab, Edom, Ammon, with a number of Aramaean city-states (Aram-Zobah and Aram-Damascus) becoming vassal states; the imperial border stretched from the Mediterranean Sea to the Arabian Desert, from the Red Sea to the Euphrates River. According to the biblical account, the empire had a large land area.

However, few archaeological remains of the Kingdom of David and Solomon have been uncovered to date that would accord with the huge conquests described in the Bible. The divided Kingdoms of Judah and Israel came into existence during the 8th century BC. While Israel encompassed the north of the country, including Samaria and the Galilee as far as Dan, Judah was restricted to a comparatively small area around Jerusalem, with a northern boundary near Mitzpah and a southern one around Hebron, probably not projecting effective rule as far as Beersheva.

C. 1948 Borders

The biblical concept of Eretz Israel was the basis of its re-establishment as a state in the modern era. During two millennia of exile and with an almost continuous small Jewish presence in that ancestral Biblical land, the area was seen as a land of destiny, and always with hope for some form of redemption and return. It was seen as a national home and refuge, that this land was always seen as central to Jewish life.

This idea however saw little success, until the British accepted ‘the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people’ in the Balfour Declaration of 1917. Britain's job was to implement the Balfour Declaration, but the British government had made conflicting promises to both the Jews and the Arabs, promising each their own autonomous area.

Following Arab revolts between 1936 - 1939, Britain issued the White Paper, essentially reneging on the principles set forth in the Mandate as well as the Balfour Declaration. Severe restrictions were placed on Jewish immigration, as well as on Jewish land-owning rights. During the years of World War II, the small quota was quickly reached, and Jews were denied entry to Palestine.

After World War II, the United Nations (the former League of Nations), adopted the Partition Plan, essentially dividing Palestine into an Arab state and a Jewish state, with Jerusalem under international control. This led to Britain ending its mandate and Israel declaring its independence in May of 1948.

On May 14, 1948, the last British forces left Haifa, and the Jewish Agency, led by David Ben-Gurion, declared the creation of the State of Israel, in accordance with the 1947 UN Partition Plan. Both superpower leaders, U.S. President Harry S. Truman and Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, immediately recognized the new state. Arab League members Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq declared war and invaded the next day. Saudi-Arabia and Sudan also sent forces.

The war was fought along the entire border of the country: against Lebanon and Syria in the north; Iraq and Transjordan - renamed Jordan during the war - in the east; Egypt, assisted by contingents from the Sudan - in the south; and Palestinians and volunteers from Arab countries in the interior of the country.

The Arab war to destroy Israel failed. Indeed, because of their aggression, the Arabs wound up with less territory than they would have had if they had accepted partition. When Israel declared statehood in 1948, it didn't declare borders -- but in 1949, it agreed with each of its neighbors on ceasefire lines that also defined what is today called the West Bank and Gaza.

The borders have changed from time to time with developments in Israel's military and diplomatic situation. It borders Lebanon in the north, Syria in the northeast, Jordan and the West Bank in the east, the Gaza Strip and Egypt on the southwest.

The border with Egypt was demarcated in 1906 between Britain and the Ottoman Empire. The borders with Lebanon, Syria and Jordan are based on those drawn up by the United Kingdom and France in anticipation of the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in the First World War and the carve up of the Ottoman Empire between them. They are referred to as the 1923 borders, being those of Mandate Palestine, which were settled in 1923.

Israel's borders with Egypt and Jordan have been formally recognized as part of the peace treaties with those countries, and with Lebanon as part of the 1949 Armistice Agreement.

D. 1967 Borders

After a period of high tension between Israel and its neighbors, Israel found out that Egypt prepared an attack. Egypt had massed approximately 100,000 of its troops in the Sinai, Syria and Jordan had also sent troops to their borders. On June 5th, 1967, Israel launched strikes pre-emptive surprise air-strikes of a defensive nature against the Arab forces. The Six-Day War involved three distinct battlefronts, tied together by a shared desire on the part of the surrounding Arab states to eliminate Israel. The outcome was a swift and decisive Israeli victory. Israel took effective control of the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, the West Bank of the Jordan River (including East Jerusalem) from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria.

After the war the Sinai was returned to Egypt. As a matter of fact, Israel returned 90% of the territories it gained lawfully in the six-day war in 1967. No other nation in the world has ever relinquished territories acquired from an aggressor in an act of self-defense. But Israel fulfilled its part in UN resolution 242 adopted on November 22, 1967, as the cornerstone for what it called "a just and lasting peace" that recognizes Israel's need for "secure and recognized boundaries.” This resolution became the foundation for all peace negotiations until today.

The Muslim Brotherhood organized an Islamic revolt in Egypt, forcing President Mubarak to resign.

The media portrayed it as a struggle for democracy and human rights disaster, leaving out much of what goes on behind the scenes. We should have learned the lesson how Islamic groups have already taken over in Iran, Lebanon and Gaza by democratic means.

Even though the Muslim Brotherhood was forbidden to operate in Egypt, it emerged, according to Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman as the most organized opposition movement.

The Egyptian president responded to calls from his US counterpart Barack Obama that he step down saying, "you don't understand the Egyptian culture and what would happen if I step down now." – Mubarak was a dictator who kept the radical Muslims under control. He also warned that the Muslim Brotherhood would take power in Egypt if he were to resign now. – This is exactly what happened today, on Saturday, February 5th.

The West has the mistaken tendency to underestimate the hostility of the Muslim Brotherhood. But President Obama seems to think they are the solution to the problem. "The White House appears to be leaving Hosni Mubarak, an ally for three decades and lynchpin of Mideast stability, twisting slowly in the wind," writes David Horowitz of the Freedom Center.

Wednesday, Feb. 2nd, President Barack Obama delivered an ultimatum to Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman and the army and security chiefs: Mubarak must be removed or else US aid to Egypt will be cut off.

The Muslim Brotherhood has always made Islamic world domination one of its ultimate goals. It also opposed Egypt's 30-year-old peace treaty with Israel. Muslim Brotherhood leaders have systematically called for “re-conquest” of “Islamic territories” from Andalusia (southern Spain) to Sicily and the Balkans.

Many Western analysts agree that the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas are one and the same. One leading Brotherhood cleric has said: "Kill Jews – to the very last one.” A Brotherhood takeover of Egypt would only strengthen Hamas in Gaza. Another Brotherhood leader told an Arab language newspaper Monday that Egyptians “should prepare for war against Israel."

The White House probably still doesn’t realize the extent of the catastrophe into which it has pushed the Middle East. None of us know what the final outcome will be in Egypt, Jordan Syria, Yemen, Tunisia, Lebanon and later Saudi Arabia. The only thing we know is that they all want to destroy Israel and kill the Jews. – It is a very old war that started with Isaac and Ishmael way back in the Bible and still rages on to this day.

Israel witnessed in horror how quickly the White House abandons its’ allies. Obama has once again shown his hand in protecting Islam at the expense of Israel's survival in every way he possibly can. He quickly turned on an old friend to the US in favor of the possibility of the Muslim Brotherhood getting into power in Egypt.

Netanyahu charged that Iran is looking forward to Egypt becoming "another Gaza, run by radical forces that oppose everything that the democratic world stands for." Now Israel must prepare for an Islamic terror state rising from Egypt's ashes, because a Muslim Brotherhood takeover could lead to the imposition of Shariah law and dramatic changes in Egypt’s relationship to its neighbors.

Will Iran use its influence on the Muslim Brotherhood to steer Egypt away from its peace treaty with Israel and into the camp of Muslim radicals? If so, this coming war has the very distinct possibility of nukes being used and dragging the rest of the world into war as well.

What Will Happen In Egypt?

For the last few days we have been hearing about riots in the streets of Cairo threatening to oust President Hosni Mubarak from his 30 year reign as dictator of Egypt.

The media makes us think this is a good thing because it's all about fighting for democracy, however the facts in Cairo are quite different. The revolution started on Friday, encouraged by the Imams in the mosques. The protest for survival, that they can no longer afford the price of food and there are no jobs, has been put together with the Islamic propaganda they have listened to all their lives.

What the West needs to understand is that the ultimate goal of Islam is Muslim Imperialism. Muslims want to conquer the world for Islam to usher in a Caliphate—that is, a supreme totalitarian Islamic government that would forcibly impose Sharia law on everyone. So in a way , WWIII has already begun, but most people don’t know it.

Mubarak's position is weak at best and his only option to stay in power is to begin shooting protesters dead in the street like they did in Iran. - The man who wants to replace him is the former head of I.A.E.A Mohamed ElBaradei who shielded the Iranian nuclear weapons programs for years.

Looking over his shoulder is the Muslim Brotherhood connected to the Wahabi out of Saudi Arabia who supplied the terrorist for 9/11. He is seen as an ally of the Muslim Brotherhood, the main opposition force in Egypt.

What is the Muslim Brotherhood? The Society of the Muslim Brothers (الإخوان Al-Ikhwān) is the world's oldest and largest Islamic political group. It was founded in Egypt in 1928 by the Islamic scholar and Sufi schoolteacher Hassan al-Banna. - The Brotherhood's stated goal is to instill the Qur'an and Sunnah as the"sole reference point for the life of a Muslim family, individual, community and state".

The Brotherhood quickly gained many followers throughout North Africa and the Middle East and influenced the development of Muslim groups in other regions. It became politicized after 1938, rejecting Westernization, modernization, and secularization. Suppressed in Egypt after a 1954 assassination attempt on Gamal Abdel Nasser, it operated clandestinely in the 1960s and '70s. Beginning in the late 1980s, it experienced an upsurge; though its candidates were often listed under other parties, Brotherhood candidates competed in legislative elections in Egypt and Jordan. As a means of circumventing the ban, supporters run for office as Independents. -Other groups with different names, such as Al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbullah, are today all part of it.

The Muslim Brotherhood is banned in Egypt, and members have been arrested for their participation in it. - But Reuter’s News reported just today that 34 of its members, including seven members of the leadership, walked out of prison on Sunday after relatives of prisoners overcame the guards, a Brotherhood official said. The relatives stormed the prison in Wadi el-Natroun, 80 miles northwest of Cairo, and set free several thousand of the inmates, Brotherhood office manager Mohamed Osama told Reuters.

Emboldened by these demonstrations, other surrounding Islamic countries are following suit. Tunisia, Albania, Jordan, Yemen, - just to name a few.

Will the Muslim Brotherhood succeed to gain control? Will fanatical Islam end up ruling Egypt? At the time I am writing this, opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei is calling for President Hosni Mubarak to step down.

Whatever happens in Egypt, it will surely affect Israel and the entire West.

Thoughts for the New Year

According to the Roman calendar we have just started the year 2011. The Romans counted the years starting from the date of the birth of Jesus. The Jewish calendar starts the year in September. It counts the number of years since creation, calculated by adding up the ages of people in the Bible back to the time of creation, which happened 5771 years ago.

All throughout the Jewish Bible, from Genesis to Malachi, hundreds of specific scriptures declare that G-D gave the ancient land of Canaan to the Jewish people, as their Promised Land to enjoy forever, with Jerusalem as their sacred capital.

The understanding of this covenant to Abraham is vital. The important point to realize is that this covenant is unconditional, that is, G-D never breaks a promise and will therefore not break this promise that He made to Abraham so long ago. - Even though sin and disobedience caused a temporary loss of this covenant blessing (2000 years), the covenant itself never got cancelled.

Prophet Isaiah predicted the rebirth of Israel with these words: “Who ever heard such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Is a country born in one day? Is a nation brought forth all at once? For as soon as Tzyion went into labor, she brought forth her children” - (Isaiah 66:8). Remarkably, when the British mandate over Palestine, authorized by the League of Nations, ended at midnight on May 15, 1948, Israel’s first prime minister, David Ben Gurion, declared publicly that Israel was once again a nation and now took its rightful place on the stage of world history.

Without doubt, the rebirth of the nation of Israel on May 15, 1948, is one of the most extraordinary of all the prophecies in the ancient Scriptures. During the last century, millions of Jews from more than seventy nations, often at great personal cost, have undertaken the arduous journey toward the fulfillment of the age-old Passover dream: “Next year in Jerusalem”.

Some people object; it can’t be the current State of Israel, because it is a secular government. – While the return to the Land today is a physical and political event, the Scripture makes it abundantly clear that the physical re-gathering and restoration of Israel is only a prelude to ultimate spiritual restoration. (Ezekiel 36:25-27)

Others say that the Land was stolen from the Palestinians and should be returned to them. - There never was a Palestinian state governed by Arab Palestinians in the history of civilization nor a nation referred to as "Palestine". After the 1967 Six-Day War, when the Jordanians lost the West Bank [Judea and Samaria] and Gaza, Jordanian soldiers became “Palestinians” - basically over night. Even the so-called leader of these "Palestinian" people, Yasser Arafat, was an Egyptian! In short, these Arab "Palestinians" are a manufactured people...a people with no history and no authenticity... whose sole purpose for existence is to destroy the Jewish State! The very notion of a "Palestinian Arab nation" having ancient attachments to the Holy Land going back to time immemorial is one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated upon the world! – I don’t know if it was Lenin or Hitler who formed the philosophy that if you told a big enough lie and you repeated it often enough, the people would begin to believe it as truth. We're seeing exactly that strategy at work in the world today. In fact, the conflict that most threatens world peace is built on an enormous lie.

So, what will happen next? The Bible says there will be a battle over Jerusalem. There is also a prophecy about Damascus going up in flames. There is the promise of the Messiah and the Temple being re-built.

Don’t wait for your newspaper if you can read tomorrow’s headlines ahead of time. I encourage you to read these Scriptures if you want to understand where we are in God’s prophetic timetable.

Look to the nation of Israel as G-D’s promise for His Land and His people will be fulfilled.

The Blame Game

The blame-game starts early on, - with Adam and Eve. They begin their lives in the Garden of Eden. There, G-D provides for all their needs, in return for which He imposes some commandments. One of them was not to eat from the tree of good and evil.

So now appears the Devil in form of a serpent. He talks Eve into trying the fruit from the forbidden tree. You know the story. She eats of the tree’s fruit and gives a fruit to Adam, who eats it as well.

Soon after that, G-D calls out to them and asks Adam if he ate from the forbidden fruit.

Now we encounter the age-old problem; the inability of most people to acknowledge their guilt forthrightly but, instead, to “scapegoat” someone or something else. Adam blames Eve, and Eve blames the serpent.

There is no group in the world that has been the target of as many twisted and ludicrous accusations as the Jews.

Jews were blamed for the death of Jesus. The fact that the Temple high priest was an appointee of the Romans, put there to protect Roman interests, was ignored. The crucifixion was not a Jewish, but a Roman punishment, reserved exclusively for those guilty of crimes against the empire, in accordance with Roman (not Jewish) laws. The actual reason for the execution was the fact that Jesus talked of his kingdom (against Caesar).

Tens of millions of European Christians once believed – and tens of millions of Muslims believe today – that Jews kidnap and slaughter non-Jewish children before Passover to use their blood for baking matzo.

Vast numbers of Europeans believed that Jews caused the Plague.

Much of France believed that the near-bankruptcy brought on by its failure to build the Panama Canal was caused by the Jews.

The great majority of Arabs and tens of millions of Muslims believe that the Jews (i.e., Israel) are responsible for the poverty, tyranny, absence of freedom and brutality that pervade the Arab world.

Lately, Jews have even been blamed for shark attacks in Egypt.

So, why do the nations always blame the Jews? Why do the nations hate Israel?

There is a very simple explanation to this question. The Jewish people are physical proof of the existence of G-d. The nations hate G-D. Because they hate G-D, they also hate his word, the Torah, and his people, the Jews. After all, there is nothing quite so upsetting to the post-modern ear, as to hear of a universal standard of truth or a "chosen people." It is this very fact which causes so many to hate the Jews. In this modern age of computers and cell phones we tend to forget and deny the concept of Creation. People have begun to believe that they are the creators and able to control what happens in the world. Even among the Jewish People there are those who prefer not to think about G-D. The very idea of a Jewish State - especially one located in the ancient Land of Israel - forces even atheists to take notice.

Jews remind the sinful world of G-D’s rule, and of His laws. People today hate these ideas. Thus we see that anti-Semitism, at its heart, is anti-God and anti-Torah.

However, there's only so long we can get away with putting the blame on someone else. Eventually, G-D himself will force the nations of world to face the consequences of their behavior.

Confused about Zionism?

During an interview with NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell, September 2010, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad blamed “Zionists” for fostering hostility between the United States and Iran. Muslims generally also accuse the Zionist regime of conducting terrorist activities in the US and around the world, while blaming the Muslims for it.

Too many people in this world have turned on Israel and Zionism with a vengeance.

Palestinians and their supporters have cleverly hijacked the definition of Zionism, and equated it with terrorism. Israel-bashing has become great sport, and even though words may not kill, they create increased confusion among uninformed Westerners.

So what exactly is Zionism? Who is a Zionist?

Zion (ציון‎) is a term that most often refers to Jerusalem and - by extension - the Biblical Land of Israel. The name Zion appears 154 times in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible), texts dating back almost three millennia. It referred to a specific mountain near Jerusalem (Mount Zion), on which stood a Jebusite fortress of the same name that was conquered by David and was named the City of David. The term Zion came therefore to designate the area of Jerusalem where the fortress stood, and later became a metonym for Solomon's Temple. Zion was eventually used as a name for the city of Jerusalem, the land of Judah, and the people of Israel as a whole.

It is hard to tell the story of Zionism without going back to “lech lecha,” Abraham’s charge in Genesis to “go forth” to a new land, the land of Israel. Every time the Jews were forced to leave the Land, they started yearning to return to their beloved city, Jerusalem. You find some examples in the book of Psalms, which have been frequently recited and even remembered in song lyrics. That’s why the Palestinians didn’t want Boney M. to sing "By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, ye-eah, we wept, when we remembered Zion." The aspiration of returning to their homeland was held by Jews exiled to Babylon some 2,500 years ago - a hope which subsequently became a reality.

Zionism is therefore nothing else than the yearning of the Jewish people to return to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel. The yearning to return to Zion (biblical term for both the Land of Israel and Jerusalem) has been the cornerstone of Jewish religious life since the Jewish exile from the land two thousand years ago, and is embedded in Jewish prayer, ritual, literature and culture.

The modern term “Zionism” was coined in 1890 by Nathan Birnbaum. Modern Zionism emerged in the late 19th century in response to the violent persecution of Jews in Eastern Europe, anti-Semitism in Western Europe. It is the Jewish national movement of rebirth and renewal in the land of Israel - the historical birthplace of the Jewish people. Modern Zionism fused the ancient Jewish biblical and historical ties to the ancestral homeland with the modern concept of nationalism into a vision of establishing a modern Jewish state in the land of Israel.

The founder of the modern Zionist movement, Theodor Herzl, dreamed in his visionary 1896 book “The Jewish State,” of the Jewish state as a liberal model for the world. "We shall live at last as free men on our own soil, and in our own homes peacefully die,” Herzl wrote. “The world will be liberated by our freedom, enriched by our wealth, magnified by our greatness. And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind." In this passage, Herzl articulated the essential Zionist message that still holds true, and that echoes in the liberal nationalism of most Western nation states – that only through self-determination can utopian ideals be achieved, that a community first must unite and protect itself before it can become a force for good.

The Land of Israel was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Zionism is based on the long connection between the Jewish people and its land, a link which began almost 4,000 years ago when Abraham settled in Canaan, later known as the Land of Israel. It was there that their spiritual identity was shaped. In Israel they first attained statehood, created cultural values of national and universal significance and gave to the world the eternal Book of Books.

There never was another state claiming Jerusalem as its capital. It is to the ancient homeland that Jews from all over the world still return to. Israel is not just another country. It is destined to become the fulfillment of Biblical destiny. Those with eyes to see can see that this is already beginning. The Jewish People have begun to return home from all over the world. The only peace process that will work is when Israel decides to become a nation that stands alone with her G-d.

A Birthright Should Not Be Sold Or Leased

The Arab newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat reported last week that the US is negotiating the future borders of the Palestinian state with Israel. One option is reportedly that Israel would lease land in East Jerusalem from the Palestinian State for 6-9 years. - The initiative comes from Mr. Obama’s office in Washington D.C.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s office refused to confirm or deny the reports.

Why would America float the idea that Israel should lease the land from the Palestinian Arabs? - Obviously because the men and women elected to govern that nation believe that East Jerusalem really belongs to the Palestinian Arabs.

Maybe someone should take the courage to stand up and tell Obama and the rest of the world that the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem is not to give and not to sell and not to get.

Obama is of course trying to set a trap for Israel. If the Netanyahu government rejects this demand outright, the other side will charge that the Israelis are not interested in making peace. If Israel agrees to the idea of leasing that part of Jerusalem, it would be acknowledging that it didn’t own it.

Obama forgets that the gift of this Land to Abraham and his descendants was based on an unconditional covenant from G-D himself. (Gen.17:7-8) That makes the Almighty the land owner. He passed it on to Abraham and Isaac as inheritance. The Land was not given to the descendants of Ishmael, but rather to the descendants of Isaac!

This week’s Torah portion (Toldot) tells the story of Esau and Jacob, and how Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of lentil stew.

In ancient times, the birthright was a very important and sacred thing. It belonged to the firstborn. The family name and titles were passed along to the eldest son. He would also receive a chief portion of the inheritance. - Esau’s birthright represented not only the inheritance of Isaac’s wealth, but also the inheritance of the land of Israel. On top of that it also passed on spiritual leadership.

Jerusalem has always belonged to Israel. It was never the capital of another country. A Palestinian state never even existed.

Hashem tells us in (Zech.8:7): “I will save my people from lands east and west; I will bring them back, and they will live in Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their G-D, with faithfulness and justice.”

A birthright simply should never be sold or leased to another party, especially not to an enemy.

There Is Only One Legitimate Claim To Jerusalem

During my first visit to Israel I was told that Jerusalem was a holy city for three major religions, 1.Judaism, 2.Christianity and 3.Islam. Today, everybody mentions this as a fact.

But as I started to investigate the different religions, I studied the Tanach, the Christian Bible and the Koran, and discovered the following.

1. In the Jewish Bible, Jerusalem has many names: Salem (Shalem), Moriah, Jebuse (Yevuse), Jerusalem (Yerushalayim), and Zion (Tziyon). The most common term for the city, Yerushalayim, is mentioned 349 times in the Jewish Bible, while Tziyon is mentioned an additional 108 times.

The earliest mention of the site is Genesis 4:18, when Abraham interacts with Malchizedek, King of Shalem. In Genesis 22:1-19, the story of the Binding of Isaac (not Ishmael!) also takes place on "Mount Moriah" the site of the present-day Temple Mount. This area is located beneath the platform on which the Moslem Shrine, the Dome of the Rock, now stands.

When David was anointed King of Israel (c. 1000 BC), and subsequently united the tribes of Israel, he captured the city -- which he perceived as an ideal site for the capital of his new kingdom. Then, with the King and the Ark of the Covenant in residence in the city, Jerusalem was transformed into both the political capital and the religious center of Israel. King David's son and successor, Solomon, consolidated Jerusalem's eternal religious significance for all Jews by building the First Temple.

2. The Christian connection starts during 1.Century, when the Romans ruled over that area. The Christian Bible tells us that Jesus came to Jerusalem with his Jewish parents when he was twelve and visited the Temple. Of the biblical writers, Luke, reports the visit of Jesus at the age of 12. The book of John records that Jesus restored a blind man’s eyesight at the pool of Shiloah. The Shiloah pool is the end of the Shiloah channel that was dug to bring water from the Gihon spring to a reservoir inside the city walls. When you hike through Hezekiah’s tunnel, this is where you’ll end up – by the Shiloah pool. Jerusalem is therefore important to Christians; however, since Jesus was a Jew, it is still a Jewish connection.

3. What about the Islamic claim? Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran, not even once. So what is the story?

Sura 17 in the Koran, tells us that Mohammed flew, in a dream, on a horse, from the sacred mosque to the farthest mosque. Muslims claim it today to be the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. That would make Mohammed's alleged overnight trip covering 1,000 miles from Mecca to Jerusalem, a trip to heaven, and a return to Mecca by morning.

Mohammed died in 632 of the Common Era. At the time of his death there was no mosque built in Jerusalem! The Aksa Mosque was built 20 years after the Dome of the Rock, which was built in 691-692 by Khalif Abd El Malik. That’s about 80 years after Mohammed died.

Therefore it is crystal clear that Mohammed could never have had this mosque in mind when he compiled the Koran, since it did not exist for another three generations after his death. Rather, as many scholars long ago established, it is logical that Mohammed intended the mosque in Mecca as the "Sacred Mosque," and the mosque in Medina as the "Furthest Mosque."

So much for the Islamic claim on Jerusalem as one of their holy places. Goebbels said once that "If the lie is big enough and told often enough, it will be believed." The Islamic claim is a lie, that’s all it is.

There is only one legitimate claim to Jerusalem as their city, and that’s the Jewish claim. I think even Jesus would agree with that.

The Muslim-Nazi-Connection

In 622 AD, Muhammad left Mecca for the city of Medina, where he established a paramilitary organization that would spread his influence throughout Arabia.

According to the Hadith, the recorded sayings and deeds of the Prophet Muhammad, the prophet explains that Jihad is a holy war in Allah's cause. What is Allah’s cause? To bring all unbelievers under the submission of Islam, because Islam is not just a religion, it is a way of life.

Islam spread far from its birthplace in the modern nation of Saudi Arabia. By AD 1095, Muslims ventured into European lands. They came through Africa into Spain and marched from Turkey all the way to the gates of Vienna. Look it up in a history book, if you are not familiar with the crusades and Europe’s struggle push the Muslims back at that time.

Has anything changed since then? No, - the same battle is still raging world-wide. Only the methods have become modernized. No longer on horseback with a wielding sword, today’s Muslim Jihad warriors use cars, airplanes and bombs!

Forward history to the 1920s, when a young Egyptian named Hassan al-Banna formed a group called the Muslim Brotherhood. Al-Banna was a devout admirer of Adolph Hitler. In the 1930s, al-Banna and the Muslim Brotherhood became a secret arm of Nazi intelligence. Islam had much in common with the Nazi doctrines. The Muslims hated Jews; they hated democracy; and they hated the Western culture. It therefore became the official policy of the Third Reich to secretly develop the Muslim Brotherhood as an army inside Egypt.

The Muslim Brotherhood began to expand its influence during World War II. They even had a Palestinian section headed by the grand Mufti of Jerusalem, who was the Muslim Brotherhood representative for Palestine. He even went to Germany and helped recruit an international SS division of Arab Nazis.

At the end of World War II, the Muslim Brotherhood was wanted for war crimes. Their German intelligence handlers were captured in Cairo. The whole net was rolled up by the British Secret Service. But guess what happened?

Instead of prosecuting the Nazis -- the Muslim Brotherhood -- the British government hired them. They brought all the fugitive Nazi war criminals of Arab and Muslim descent into Egypt, and for three years they were trained on a special mission. The British Secret Service wanted to use the fascists of the Muslim Brotherhood to strike down the infant state of Israel in 1948! Only a few people in the Mossad know this, but many of the members of the Arab Armies and terrorist groups that tried to strangle the infant State of Israel were the Arab Nazis of the Muslim Brotherhood. - Britain was not alone. The French intelligence service cooperated by releasing the Grand Mufti and smuggling him to Egypt, so all of the Arab Nazis came together.

But the Egyptians became nervous. Nasser ordered the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egypt or to be imprisoned.

Now the story gets even better; during the 1950's, the CIA evacuated the Nazis of the Muslim Brotherhood to Saudi Arabia. When they arrived in Saudi Arabia, some of the leading lights of the Muslim Brotherhood like Azzam, became the teachers in the Madrasas, the religious schools where they taught Islamic Nazism.

So the Muslim Brotherhood became this poison that spread throughout the Middle East and around the world.

There are many flavors and branches, but they all have the same goal in common. What’s the goal? Remember Allah’s cause? Do you want to know the names of the different groups?

Iranian Monkey Show

Last week, Hezbollah’s television station, Al Manar TV, reported that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hoped to find time during his visit to Lebanon to throw a rock at Israel. He thought that could be the ultimate photo-op for him, the president of Iran making a symbolic gesture, throwing a stone towards the Zionist entity.

Wow, what a childish thing to do! - When children behave naughtily or mischievously, we say they get up to monkey business or are 'monkeying around'.

During a live broadcast of a popular childrens’ TV show in Iran, about two years ago, one young girl surprised viewers when she told them that her father called her stuffed monkey 'Ahmadinejad'. During a telephone call that took place on the show 'Uncle Fornaj', one of the most highly-watched shows in Iran, the show's host asked a young female caller if she was good girl who obeyed her parents. "I'm a good girl and that’s why my father bought me a doll," the girl responded, explaining that the doll was stuffed monkey. "My father calls it Ahmadinejad," she said in response to the host's follow-up question.

That made me think of Santino, the rock-throwing chimpanzee, at the Furuvik Zoo in the city of Stockholm, in Sweden. He used to calmly collect stones and fashion concrete discs before visitors arrived for the daily zoo visits. The chimp would then hurl the rocks across a moat toward onlookers.

Scientists were baffled that the chimp's stone throwing at Zoo visitors seemed to be 'premeditated'. They decided to stake out the enclosure to get a better idea of the chimp's behavior. That’s when they discovered that, on five consecutive days, before the zoo opened, the chimpanzee gathered stones from the water and placed them in caches.

The chimpanzee was observed to gently knock on the concrete rocks, from time to time delivering harder blows to break off the detached surface section in discoidal pieces. These manufactured ‘missiles’ were often transported to the caches at the shoreline. - Later on each of these days, these stones were used as ammunition.

Santino was without exception calm when gathering or manufacturing his ammunition, in contrast to the typically aroused state during displays.

The conclusion was that when wild chimps collect stones or go out to war, they plan this in advance, which means that they can plan much of their everyday behavior.

Ahmadiejad planned the same, but seems to have changed his plans. - Iran’s IRNA news reported Saturday that Ahmadinejad has backed down from plans to throw a rock at Israel and decided not to tour or monkey around at the Israeli border.

The Mystery of the Stuxnet Worm

As my husband will tell you, I am not a computer expert by any means. I know how to use Microsoft Office and E-mail and maybe a few more applications. That’s it.

I even learned the hard way that computers get infected with all kinds of different bugs, such as viruses and worms.

A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer. The term "virus" is sometimes used as a catch-all phrase to include all types of malware, like spyware programs that do not have the ability to reproduce.

A true virus can spread from one computer to another; when it is sent over a network or the Internet, or carried it on a removable USB drive. Some viruses can also reproduce themselves.

I am told that viruses are sometimes also confused with worms and Trojan horses, which are technically different. A worm can exploit security vulnerabilities to spread itself automatically to other computers through networks, while a Trojan horse is a program that appears harmless but hides malicious functions. Worms and Trojan horses, like viruses, may harm a computer system's data or performance.

Now we hear that a powerful virus has shut down Iran's nuclear facility. It’s a curious thing. Iran confirmed last Sunday that its nuclear program has been affected by a mysterious computer virus. The virus is called Stuxnet worm. Here is where I get confused. Is it now a virus or a worm or are they both the same in the computer world?

They say that this new Stuxnet worm has been popping up in industrial plants and personal computers worldwide, and is now posing a looming threat over Iran, where more than 60 percent of the computers infected with the virus are located.

According to Iran’s state-run Mehr news agency, the IP addresses of 30,000 or more computer systems have been infected by the worm. If indeed that many computers in Iran have been infected, the worm may one day simultaneously shut down all the factories in Iran, including water plants, power plants, bakeries, refineries etc. - To get that damage the virus works by specifically attacking a piece of Siemens software running on Windows computers in industrial operations ranging from electric grids and traffic lights to factories and power plants. German experts claim to have uncovered evidence that Iran didn't even bother licensing the Siemens software that the worm/virus hijacked. So they can't call Siemens to complain!

Since Iran has suffered most of the infections, questions have been raised about whether the virus is connected to western governments’ top secret sabotage campaign against Tehran’s nuclear program. Some experts believe that virus, first discovered in June, was developed by high-level government programmers (possibly from the US, Israel, or Germany), and is directed toward a specific target, most likely Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant. It is believed to have been around for over a year.

The mysterious country which produced this virus immobilized Iran’s nuclear plant without ever firing a shot. Wow, that’s really clever!

Well - you say – don’t Muslims worship the same G-d as the Jews and Christians?

The origin of Islam goes back to the spiritual ruler of Ur (Ge.12:1), the moon god and supreme deity of the entire Babylonian empire. Al-llah is Arabic for “the god”, corresponding to the Babylonian “Baal”. Muslims claim that Allah was the biblical G-D of the patriarchs, prophets, and apostles. – Was "Allah" really the biblical G-D or was he a pagan god in Arabia during pre- Islamic times? The Arabs worshipped 360 gods at the Kaabah in Mecca, with the Moon-god as the chief deity. Mecca was in fact built as a shrine for the moon god. Muhammad chose the moon god to be the only god, thus putting previous heathenism into a monotheistic form.

When compared with the Jewish and Christian scriptures, the teachings of Quran show that Allah is not the same G-D worshipped by Jews and Christians.

The Jewish Bible says in Deuteronomy 6:4-5: “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad; and you are to love Adonai your G-D with all your heart, all your being and all your resources.“ In Leviticus 19:18: “Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself: I am Adonai.”

Compare this with the Christian Bible. Mark 12:29-30 “Sh’ma Yisrael, Adonai,Eloheinu, Adonai Echad, and you are to love Adonai your G-D with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding and with all your strength, this is the first commandment.” Mark 12:31 “And a second one is this. You are to love your neighbor as yourself.”

The G-D of the Jews and the Christians is the G-D of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He encourages freedom, love, forgiveness, prosperity and health.

In the Koran these verses are nowhere to be found. The Muslim god values the opposite.

The personalities of each god are evident in the cultures, civilizations and dispositions of the peoples that serve them. Muhammad's central message was submission; the central message of the Bible is love. These Gods have opposite personalities.

You can hear “Allahu akbar” shouted daily from the minaretts. Most translate it as “God is great.” The Arabic word for great is ”kabir.” Allahu akbar means: “God is greater.” Greater than who? Greater than the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? - Who said this before? “I will scale the heavens, I will raise my throne above G-d’s stars. I will sit on the Mount of Assembly far in the north. I will rise past the tops of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High.” (Isaiah 14:12) - You can draw your own conclusions as to who Allah is!

Islam divides the world into 2 domains:

1. Dar al Salaam (the house of peace) - all Muslims
2. Dar al Harb (the house of war) – all non-Muslims

Islam teaches that there cannot be peace until the house of peace rules, which means that all non-Muslims either become Muslims or are killed. The very word Islam means submission.

Islam has been a violent and military movement from its beginning. The current attitude of Arab and Islamic countries towards Jews dates back to the life of Mohammed, who conducted 74 military campaigns, 24 of them personally. He unified the Arab tribes with war and assassinated or exiled Jews, therefore setting precedent for the militant and anti-Jewish practices of Islam.

The reason Mohammed was so violently anti-Jewish was because he originally saw himself as a prophet to the Jews, Christians, and pagans of Arabia. In his early reign he instructed his followers to bow down and pray to Jerusalem! The Jews of Arabia rejected him as a Hebrew prophet and he was almost killed in battle with them. He then changed the direction of prayer to Mecca.

In Syria Moslem fathers make their son's swear, "I will kill a Jew before I die." In 1947 Arab mobs in Aleppo devastated the 2,500-year-old Jewish community. Many Jews were killed and thousands of Jews illegally fled Syria to go to Israel. Today there are less than 150 Jews left.

Mohammed's intention was the unification of the Arab tribes and their international expansion. State and religion are not seen as separate entities, nor can an individual dissent from the Quran.

Islam has never been just a religion in the traditional sense - Islam is seen as a political organization, which has no boundaries. This was the intent of Mohammed in the establishment of the Umma, the community or brotherhood. Western culture perceives this to be their statement of equality for mankind, but it must be remembered; if you are not Moslem you are not equal.

Professor Moshe Sharon of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem writes: “Islam was born with the idea that it should rule the world ... Judaism speaks about national salvation – namely that at the end of the story, when the world becomes a better place, Israel will be in its own land, ruled by its own king and serving G-d. Christianity speaks about the idea that every single person in the world can be saved from his sins, while Islam speaks about ruling the world ... quoting a verse in English ... 'Allah sent Mohammed with the true religion so that it should rule over all the religions.' The idea, then, is not that the whole world would become a Muslim world at this time, but that the whole world would be subdued under the rule of Islam ... Wherever you have Islam, you will have war. It grows out of the attitude of Islamic civilization. “

In Islamic societies where Jews and Christians are allowed to exist they do not have the same rights as a Moslem, and they are required to pay a special tax.

The West needs to understand that there are no moderate Muslims. As mentioned above, the ultimate goal of Islam is to establish a global Islamic state over the entire world, on the rubble of every civilization, every constitution and every government, as crazy as this may sound. Their plan is to destroy the U.S. and Western civilization from within "so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions." (Mosab Yousef)

"This is not a doctrine of some freak Muslim," Yousef observed. "It's the doctrine, the requirement, of the god of Islam himself and his prophet, whom they praise every day."

There is no freedom of religion in Islam, but the defenders of the proposed Ground Zero mosque cite American Muslims' First Amendment freedoms to practice their religion.

Yousef makes a distinction between Islam and other religions, arguing Islam is a subversive system that threatens America's very existence. – Your freedom will be gone.

The Holocaust happened less than a century ago; - the most awful act of genocide against G-D's own people - yet in spite of all the calls and declarations resolving that such a thing should never be allowed to happen again – an other genocide is being prepared for the Jews.

Israel today stands totally alone, surrounded by nations of whom none would shed a tear if she were to vanish as a nation and as a people. The situation inside and around Israel is alarming.

Turkey - after receiving military assistance from Israel for years, shared all these military secrets with Syria and Iran, the worst enemies of the Jewish state.

Egypt itself may yet trump Turkey with a more pro-Islamic president succeeding the ailing Hosni Mubarak - says former IAEA chief inspector Mohammed Al-Baradei, who already has close contact with the Muslim brotherhood.

America's planned troop withdrawal from Iraq will probably leave Iran the big winner; Tehran extending its control over the state liberated from Saddam Hussein by using Iraq's already willing Shi'ite Muslims.

Hamas in the south of Israel and Hezbollah in the north are merely puppet groups of Iran. Hezbollah now boast that they have over 50,000 missiles, and many of them are long-range which can, and will, hit every part of Israel.

Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria and possibly soon also Egypt, all arrayed - Iran with nuclear weapons; Syria with VX Gas-tipped Scud missiles and many, many other missiles and weapons of mass destruction - against little Israel. Bashar Assad of Syria has made the statement many times over the past few months that war is the only thing Israel understands, and that Syria is now ready with tens of thousands of Missiles tipped with chemical warheads.

While all these Islamic nations are trying to tie the knot around Israel's neck - the world at large - is today more critical of Israel as towards the Jews in the days of Hitler. And as if this is not enough, the western nations lack strong and courageous leadership to stand up against this brutal threat, much as it was in the days of Hitler, when a foolish and weak British prime minister tried to appease this monster by sweet talk and diplomacy. That’s what brought the world to the Second World War and it may bring it to a third one as well.

Some of you may not know that a very large naval force has come together in the Persian Gulf, surrounding Iran. The USS Carrier Harry Truman, with over 6,000 Marines aboard, pulled into the area loaded for bear. I have been told that the USS Truman doesn't go anywhere without being protected by at least two nuclear subs. Israel and the US have grouped bombers and fighter jets in many countries in the Middle East, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan and others. During the past weeks USS warship went through the Suez Cannel, as have Israel subs all capable of launching a nuclear attack. What is not known is how many, - Russian subs are in that area also. We do know that they have been seen docking along the Syrian coast with aircraft carriers also unloading military gear for Hezbollah and the Lebanese Army.

Lat week’s announcement in Moscow and Tehran on Aug. 11 that Russia is set to activate Iran's first nuclear power reactor by loading the fuel on Aug. 21 is certainly speeding things up. Israel is also worried by the news that Russia stationed S-300 anti-missile batteries in Abkhazia on the Black Sea because it ties in with the imminent activation of the Bushehr reactor. It is taken as a signal that Israel's air route to Iran is hereby closed and Moscow will do its utmost to thwart an Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear facilities. Once Russia has loaded the fuel into the power reactor, an attack risks spreading radiation in the air and perhaps into the water of the Persian Gulf.

If Iran goes to the nuclear option, Israel will have no choice but to take out Syria, Hezbollah (now all of Lebanon) and the Hamas in Gaza, and also Egypt if it tries a sneak attack, in short order or face terrible civilian causalities. With America and Russia involved, it will bring us into a global war.

I am not writing this to scare you, but to warn you and prepare you. It is not a matter of if, but of when the war breaks out, and I believe it is close. You can read about the coming war or series of wars in Ezekiel 38-39, especially if you are interested to find out how it all ends.

The song, “Rivers of Babylon”, was popular when I was younger . It was performed in the 1970s by the disco group Boney M. The band was hugely popular in Europe and Israel some 35 years ago. I still remember the melody.

The song's lyrics were taken from Psalm 137, including some words from Psalm 19:14.

Well, this week the group performed at Ramallah, but the local music festival prevented it from performing one of its biggest hits - because it mentioned the Jewish people's yearning for the Land of Zion.

According to the news, lead singer Maizie Williams said Palestinian Authority concert organizers told her not to sing "Rivers of Babylon." The organizers said they asked for the song to be skipped, because they found it "inappropriate”.

Muslim and Arab culture in general, tend to vehemently deny the connection between the People of Israel and the Land of Israel to the world and to themselves as well.

Yet the Bible – the book that Western civilization is built around –contains thousands of verses that establish the connection without a possible doubt. - The Jews' yearning for Israel and the Divine commandment of settling in Israel is among the most central themes of the Holy Book, if not the most central one. Repeatedly in the Bible, G-d exhorts the Jews to obey his commandments or suffer banishment from the Holy Land.

"I don't know if it is a political thing or what, but they asked us not to do it and we were a bit disappointed that we could not do it because we know that everybody loves this song no matter what," Williams said. "I believe you should entertain wherever you are asked to entertain, whether it is Israel, whether it is Palestine, whether it is Lebanon, where ever it is, we go," she added.

What Happened With Turkey?

The Jerusalem post reported that the Israeli Navy boarded and took control of “Rachel Corrie” off the Gaza coast and forced the ship to dock in Ashdod. Last week, a mob of terrorists on Turkish ships, headed for Gaza, attacked Israeli soldiers which led to fire exchange and casualties.

What happened with Turkey? Over the last few years Turkey’s policy has changed. Today’s government has its focus on Islam and as a result, Turkey has turned away from the West. Turkey today is trying to lead the Islamic world and rebuild the Ottoman Empire. It has now become an enemy of Israel. It embraces the leaders of Iran and Hamas, all of whom called for Israel’s destruction.

Turkey has a long history. In a short version; the Persian Empire occupied the area in the 6th century B.C., giving way to the Roman Empire, then later the Byzantine Empire. In the early 13th century, the Ottoman Turks first appeared, and gradually spread through the Near East and Balkans, capturing Constantinople in 1453 and storming the gates of Vienna two centuries later. At its height, the Ottoman Empire stretched from the Persian Gulf to western Algeria. Lasting for 600 years, the Ottoman Empire was not only one of the most powerful empires in the history of the Mediterranean region, but it generated a great cultural outpouring of Islamic art, architecture, and literature.

After the reign of Sultan Süleyman I the Magnificent (1494–1566), the Ottoman Empire began to decline politically, administratively, and economically.

Over the last few years, diplomatic dialogue between Turkey and Israel has become strained, particularly following the 2008-2009 Israel-Gaza Conflict. And last week Turkey provoked Israel into action with its so-called “Peace Flotilla”, knowing full well that the world would blame Israel for any casualties.

The Rabbinical Council of Judea and Samaria issued a statement Thursday in which it said that the incident in which Israel intercepted a flotilla seemed like the Biblical description of the beginning of the Gog and Magog process.

What does the Bible say about Gog and Magog? The book of Ezekiel describes, in chapters 38 and 39, a vision of a war where the world is united against Israel that will precede the final redemption of Israel and the world.

The study of Gog and Magog has long been a challenge to Bible scholars and historians alike. Magog is described in Genesis 10:2 and 1 Chronicles 1:5 as a grandson of Noah.

Prophet Ezekiel claims Magog's descendants are from the far north, and will someday attack Israel. Throughout history we find Gog and Magog identified with many place names, as well as numerous tribes and people groups; some firmly leaving their mark on history, including many present-day cultures. Perhaps the most known of Magog's descendants (sometimes referred to as Magogians) are the Scythians. Scythian culture extended more than 2,000 miles east from the Ukraine to Mongolia. These peoples would later form tribes and ethnic groups we would come to know as familiar names in history: Huns, Turks, Tartars, Mongols and others.

There is today a growing interest in the Ezekiel prophecies and whether they could play out in our lifetime.

We’ve never seen a convergence of geopolitical and spiritual events so consistent with Ezekiel 38-39 in history like we are seeing today. I believe the rabbis are right - we are living in the days of Ezekiel’s prophecies - and it is possible that we could see these events unfold soon.

Fancy restaurants and Olympic-size pools: What the media won’t report about Gaza

In recent days, the international media, particularly in Europe and

the Mideast, has been full of stories about “activist boats sailing to

Gaza carrying desperately-needed humanitarian aid and building

materials.”

The BBC World Service even led its world news broadcasts with this

story at one point over the weekend. (The BBC yesterday boasted that

its global news audience has now risen to 220 million persons a week,

making it by far the biggest news broadcaster in the world.)

Indeed the BBC and other prominent Western media regularly lead their

viewers and readers astray with accounts of a non-existent “mass

humanitarian catastrophe” in Gaza.

What they won’t tell you about are the fancy new restaurants and

swimming pools of Gaza, or about the wind surfing competitions on Gaza

beaches, or the Strip’s crowded shops and markets. Many Palestinians

in the West Bank and Gaza live a middle class (and in some cases an

upper class) lifestyle that western journalists refuse to report on

because it doesn’t fit with the simplistic story they were sent to

write.

Here, courtesy of the Palestinian Ma’an news agency, is a report on

Gaza’s new Olympic-sized swimming pool . (Most Israeli towns don’t

have Olympic-size swimming pools. One wonders how an area that claims

to be starved of water and building materials and depends on

humanitarian aid builds an Olympic size swimming pool and creates a

luxury lifestyle for some while others are forced to live in abject

poverty as political pawn refugees?)

If you pop into the Roots Club in Gaza, according to the Lonely Planet

guidebook, you can “dine on steak au poivre and chicken cordon bleu”.

The restaurant’s website in Arabic gives a window into middle class

dining and the lifestyle of Hamas officials in Gaza. And here it is in

English, for all the journalists, UN types and NGO staff who regularly

frequent this and other nice Gaza restaurants (but don’t tell their

readers about them).

And here is a promotional video of the club restaurant. In case anyone

doubts the authenticity of this video, I just called the club in Gaza

City and had a nice chat with the manager who proudly confirmed

business is booming and many Palestinians and international guests are

dining there.

In a piece for The Wall Street Journal last year, I documented the

“after effects” of a previous “emergency Gaza boat flotilla,” when the

arrivals were seen afterwards purchasing souvenirs in well-stocked

shops. (You can also scroll down here for more pictures of Gaza’s

“impoverished” shops.)

But the mainstream liberal international media won’t report on any of

this. Playing the manipulative game of the BBC is easy: if we had

their vast taxpayer funded resources, we too could produce reports

about parts of London, Manchester and Glasgow and make it look as

though there is a humanitarian catastrophe throughout the UK. We could

produce the same effect by selectively filming seedy parts of Paris

and Rome and New York and Los Angeles too.

Of course there is poverty in Gaza. There is poverty in parts of

Israel too. (When was the last time a foreign journalist based in

Israel left the pampered lounge bars and restaurants of the King David

and American Colony hotels in Jerusalem and went to check out the

slum-like areas of southern Tel Aviv? Or the hard-hit Negev towns of

Netivot or Rahat?)

But the way that many prominent Western news media are deliberately

misleading global audiences and systematically creating the false

impression that people are somehow starving in Gaza, and that it is

all Israel’s fault, can only serve to increase hatred for the Jewish

state which one suspects was the goal of many of the editors and

reporters involved in the first place.

Obama Advisor Calls Jerusalem Al-Kuds

Oh my goodness, just when I thought I had heard it all, it gets worse.

I read in the Israel National News, that John Brennan, Obama's Chief Adviser on Counterterrorism for Homeland Security, was speaking to a Muslim audience at New York University in February, at a forum co-hosted by the White House and the Islamic Center at New York University." Brennan first told a story in Arabic, evoking laughter and concluding with, “Don’t tell the folks who don’t speak Arabic what I said.” – That’s the same thing Yasser Arafat used to do, tell Americans in English something completely different than his own people in Arabic.

John Brennan continued then, actually calling the city of Jerusalem by the name Muslims use to refer to it - the Arabic name "Al-Quds." - Really? Has that guy ever read the Bible?

Jerusalem is mentioned many hundreds of times in the Jewish Bible, while Jerusalem isn't mentioned in Islam's "Koran" at all. How ignorant is this guy who is advising the Office of Homeland Security? Are you feeling safe when this office secures your homeland?

The history of Jerusalem only goes back to the 4th millennium BCE, making it one of the oldest cities in the world. Jerusalem is the holiest city in Judaism and has been the spiritual center of the Jewish people since c. 1000 BCE, when David, the King of Israel, first established it as the capital of the united Kingdom of Israel, and his son Solomon commissioned the building of the First Temple in that city.

“These comments by John Brennan are as outrageous as they are deeply troubling,” ZOA National President Morton A. Klein said, “No one refers to Jerusalem in the English language as Al-Quds, unless they have a specific political, anti-Israel agenda - in this case, pandering to Israel’s enemies, who will draw comfort from the use of the term Al-Quds by a senior U.S. government official.”

But wait, it gets even better. John Brennan also praised Saudi Arabian religious tolerance, when everyone knows that religious freedom in that country is virtually non-existent. The Saudi Government does not provide legal recognition or protection for freedom of religion, and it is severely restricted in practice. Moreover, any preaching and public practice of non-Muslim religions is prohibited.

Who hired this guy to fill that position in the government?

Change Is Coming

The Middle East has always had its conflicts and many wars have broken out in that region. Why should another one change the world? While the situation in the Middle East is generally unstable, it could move the world into a disaster zone this summer or fall.

Whenever Israel (the "epicenter") is involved, we should pay attention. We must "understand the times" from a biblical perspective.

Dark storm clouds are on the horizon in the Middle East.

A legion of nations is scheming to wipe out Israel. These nations include Iran, Syria, Russia, and the Hezbollah which operates in Lebanon. The Iranians are working with Syria and Hezbollah and are planning to stop Israel's expected pre-emptive move against Iran.

Many sources think that the chaos will begin in a few weeks to a few months. It is all based on the fact that Iran is now set to go with her nukes and most of them are pointed at Israel.

Obama, for the first time since taking office 14 months ago, is sending military reinforcements to the Persian Gulf.

A few weeks ago a Soviet sub was seen docked in Beirut, Lebanon, flying the Iranian flag. Workers on the sub seemed to be wearing masks, suggesting that they were unloading chemical weapons of mass destruction.

Hezbollah’s offensive plan includes chemically armed SCUD missiles with a 450 km range, preemptive strikes on Israeli air fields, and a wave of tunnel attacks that cross from Lebanon into Israel. There are some 60,000 rockets and missiles hiding in houses, orchards, and miscellaneous buildings in Lebanon. Some of these are advanced scuds which have the capability to hit every city in Israel. The intention is to rein terror on Israel with maximum damage. – My husband had a dream a while ago, in which he saw the sky blackened from missiles coming from Lebanon towards Tel Aviv.

Israel has a superior air-force, and Israel's jets and airstrips are therefore a target of the enemy. Hezbollah and other participants in this forthcoming battle want to make it impossible for Israel to strike anyone by air. They think, chemical weapons of mass destruction and thousands of scud missiles should neutralize Israel's fighter jets.

In the meantime Israel has been giving out gas masks -- a procedure that has become all too frequent --, and the IDF is preparing for mass evacuations from high-risk zones - such as Tel Aviv, in case of Hezbollah missile strike.

The enemy is stocking up on young people who will joyfully place themselves in positions where they can self-detonate with maximum damage. They will likely use the tunnels as well. Don’t forget they consider themselves "martyrs." They want to die for Allah. According to Islam they will reach their paradise and meet 72 virgins.

This kind of an attack will force Israel to strike back with ferocity. If chemical weapons are dumped on her, she will have to use her own weapons of mass destruction. We see the makings of a disaster in the Middle East on the horizon, and the fall-out will be felt around the world.

Jews won’t be safe anywhere. A friend of Israel may not be either. Don't expect any help or comfort from the White House or State Department. Israel is their sacrificial lamb.

Israel will be on her own -- except for G-D. - This is good because He won't let her down. The Almighty has a covenant with Israel that is repeated throughout the Bible. A prominent passage is Genesis 17:6-8. HaShem is not just a covenant maker -- He is a covenant keeper!

Meanwhile many here in the West are still asleep. At best they give a gigantic yawn because the issues are far away from home. People are struggling with their own problems and feel they cannot take on more catastrophes. So they watch a movie, go to the mall and play golf on the weekend, - hoping that nothing “rocks their boat”! - They don’t want to come out from under their denial blanket.

But the coming Middle East war will shake up the world.

The biggest weapon being used by Satan is ignorance. Most people have not a clue as to the historical issues surrounding Middle East conflicts. Most of them do not know that the term "Palestinian" was never used before the mid-1960s when Yasser Arafat coined the term.

Yes, - I know - , Lilo wrote another unpleasant blog. But I feel I have to warn you about what is about to happen.

The change that is coming is not what Obama promised during his campaign, it is the one G-D promised in the Bible for the end-times._

The Choice Is Yours

Last week PA negotiator Saeb Erekat criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for mentioning the Jewish people's historic tie to Jerusalem as described in the Bible. He found Bibi’s biblical reference “distasteful” and accused the prime minister of “using religion” to “incite hatred and fear”.

That is exactly the problem with the whole world today. They find what G-D said in the Bible “distasteful”.

Netanyahu simply said that the Bible refers to Jerusalem and Zion 850 times.

The Almighty chose a country and a people for His own, to set an example for the rest of the world. He also clearly explained His “road-map” for Israel from the start, even in the first book of the Bible. – You see - the course is fixed - is happening and is about to happen. G-D's Prophetic Word is moving upon us and can’t be stopped! Actually, we have been out of time…for a long time, for about the last 2000 years.

Netanyahu - at first - did not say how many times Jerusalem is mentioned in the writings of other faiths, but after he was challenged by an Israeli Arab MK, he said that Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran at all.

G-D’s roadmap for Israel is right on time and its course is fixed - as it was for Israel in the days of the prophets. When something is so clearly and repeatedly declared in the scriptures, we need to wake up and prepare for what is coming.

The greatest miracle anyone has ever witnessed was the re-gathering of Israel after 2000 years amongst the nations of the world. This miracle also set the stage for G-D's end-time prophecies to be fulfilled. – Have you noticed that all prophecies are always related to what happens in Israel?

Sometimes it’s not so easy to read the signs. Perhaps the reading part is not so hard, but accepting a life-altering radical shift -- that is the difficulty. How many Jews in Europe in the 1930’s saw the signs, heard the reports, but didn’t leave because they just could not get their minds around what was taking place?

Today Europe is openly anti-Israel. Seemingly overnight, the American administration has caught up with the spirit over Europe.

It’s that simple. If we are not lining up with God’s heart and mind on this very central and defining issue, we are at odds with Him. We either submit our life to the G-D of Israel, the creator of heaven and earth, or we are on a collision course with him. - How can we know his will? It’s written in the Bible. All we have to do is – read it!

Do you see what is happening around the world? - Islam is running rampant in Europe. The President of the United States has Islamic roots along with a trail of radical leftwing associations and activities going back decades.

If one is not for Israel as G-D is, where does that leave us with God? If we are 95% okay with what G-D says and thinks, where does that leave us with God? Is there any such thing as a partial surrender? Can we accept His Word in part? - There are too many people who think they can simply pick and choose what they like, and forget about the other part. – Yet, all throughout the Bible, G-D always demanded total surrender.

The absence of Israel in the heart of people lies at the root of the presence of Islam in the nations. Islam goes where Israel is rejected. Like it or not, the rejection of Israel is the acceptance of Islam.

The US and the nations of the EU seek to force Israel into an agreement with an entity that does not accept its right to exist and is actively seeking Israel’s destruction. Consequently, the US and the nations in the EU find themselves inhabited and led by the very same spirit they have tried to force upon Israel, - a blinding, and demonic darkness.

While the nations talk of sanctions, Iran continues to declare the destruction of Israel and increase its nuclear program. And while the United States refused to approve any major Israeli weapons requests, it approved more than $10 billion worth of arms sales to Arab League states, including Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. As the White House continues to pressure Israel to give up its traditional lands of Judea and Samaria and to make East Jerusalem the national capital to the Palestinian Authority, Russia and North Korea are arming Iran and its puppet state Syria with weapons of mass destruction. And so, Russia is helping the prophetic warnings of coming destruction along. – Weapons are never sold for a peaceful purpose!

There are many who do not believe the (Zechariah 12:3) prophecy that all who burden themselves with the battle for the control of Jerusalem, will "hurt themselves”. Just look at America--on the brink of financial ruin due to politicians spending money they don't have; Islamic terrorists attacking from within; natural and manmade disasters cost trillions. Yet, America's leadership continues to race headstrong into the prophetic warnings of destruction.

We must simply make a choice. Are we standing with Israel and believing what G-D said, or are we joining the unbelieving world opposing the will of Almighty? – There is no right or left, there is only right or wrong! There is either truth or deception.

We’ve all heard it, - Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized U.S. citizen, who had recently returned from a five-month trip to his native Pakistan, was arrested at a New York airport on charges that he drove a bomb-laden SUV meant to cause a fireball in Times Square, federal authorities said.

Shahzad was on board a Dubai-bound flight at Kennedy Airport when FBI agents and New York Police Department detectives took him into custody late Monday, law enforcement officials said. The airport in Dubai is the Middle East's busiest and a major transit point for passengers traveling between the West and much of Asia, particularly India and Pakistan.

The SUV was parked on Saturday night on a busy midtown Manhattan Street near the offices of Viacom Inc., which owns Comedy Central. The network recently aired an episode of the animated show "South Park" that the group Revolution Muslim had complained insulted the Prophet Muhammad by depicting him in a bear costume....

Whose prophet? – Oh no, - NOT another act of Jihad! Did you read that word in the news paper? Did you hear it on TV? - Not once, by anyone in the Obama administration, are the words "Muslim" or "Islam" connected with "terrorism".

The explosive device inside the had cheap-looking alarm clocks connected to a 16-ounce can filled with fireworks, which were apparently intended to detonate gas cans and set propane tanks afire in a chain reaction "to cause mayhem, to create casualties," police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said.

A metal rifle cabinet placed in the SUV's cargo area was packed with fertilizer, but NYPD bomb experts believe it was not a type volatile enough to explode like the ammonium nitrate grade fertilizer used in previous terrorist bombings. – Good, that he chose the wrong fertilizer!

Police said the SUV bomb could have produced "a significant fireball" and sprayed shrapnel with enough force to kill pedestrians and knock out windows.

A vendor alerted a police officer to the parked SUV, which was smoking. Times Square, clogged with tourists on a warm evening, was shut down for 10 hours. A bomb squad dismantled the explosive device, and no one was hurt.

"It's clear," he said, "that the intent behind this terrorist act was to kill Americans."

More than a dozen people with American citizenship or residency, like Shahzad, have been accused in the past two years of supporting or carrying out terrorism attempts on U.S. soil, cases that illustrate the threat of violent extremism from within the U.S.

Among them are Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, a U.S.-born Army psychiatrist of Palestinian descent, charged with fatally shooting 13 people last year at Fort Hood, Texas; Najibullah Zazi, a Denver-area airport shuttle driver who pleaded guilty in February in a plot to bomb New York subways; and a Pennsylvania woman who authorities say became radicalized online as "Jihad Jane" and plotted to kill a Swedish artist whose work offended Muslims.

After authorities pulled Shahzad off the plane, he admitted he was behind the crude Times Square car bomb, officials said. He also claimed to have been trained at a terror camp in Pakistan's lawless tribal region of Waziristan, according to court documents. That raised increased concern that the bombing was an international terror plot.

According to an official who spoke to The Associated Press Shahzad, the son of a former top Pakistani air force officer came to the United States in late 1998 on a student visa. He took classes at the now-defunct Southeastern University in Washington, D.C., and then enrolled at the University of Bridgeport, where he received a bachelor's degree in computer applications and information systems in 2000.

That’s how they come into this country. They study at our universities, and during their free time they train for Jihad.

The car bomb in Times Square was an attempted Islamic jihad attack. It wasn’t the work of a lonely extremist or a tea party member.

How do we know? Because Faisal Shahzad attended a Jihad training camp in Pakistan. He just recently spent five months in that country, including some time in Peshawar, a center of Al-Qaeda and Taliban activity. A Pakistani Taliban group claimed responsibility for the attack -- a claim that American authorities immediately dismissed, but which came to the surface when Shahzad's Pakistani connections were revealed.

Worldwide Jihad in Russia

Two female suicide bombers killed at least 40 people on packed Moscow subway trains on Monday, stirring fears of a broader campaign in Russia's heartland by Islamists from the North Caucasus.

Witnesses described panic at two central Moscow stations after the blasts, with morning commuters falling over each other in dense smoke and dust as they tried to escape the worst attack on the Russian capital in six years. Sixty-four others were injured, many gravely, and officials said the death toll could rise. Russia's top security official said the bombs were filled with bolts and iron rods.

The chief of the FSB, the main successor to the Soviet-era KGB, said: "Body parts belonging to two female suicide bombers were found ... and according to initial data, these persons are linked to the North Caucasus."

"Everyone was screaming. There was a stampede at the doors. I saw one woman holding a child and pleading with people to let her through, but it was impossible."

"They are simply beasts," Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said of the bombers after laying a bouquet of red roses on the platform of one of the metro stations. - "We will find and destroy them all."

Surveillance camera footage posted on the Internet showed several motionless bodies lying on the floor or slumped against the wall in Lubyanka station lobby and emergency workers crouched over victims, trying to treat them.

The current death toll makes it the worst attack on Moscow since February 2004, when a suicide bombing killed at least 39 people and wounded more than 100 on a metro train.

Chechen rebels were blamed for that attack. Rebel leader Doku Umarov, fighting for an Islamic emirate embracing the whole region, vowed last month to take the war to Russian cities. - "Blood will no longer be limited to our (Caucasus) cities and towns. The war is coming to their cities," the Chechen rebel leader said in an interview on an Islamist website. The website is updated by Muslim rebels seeking to create their own state in the Chechnya region.

The Chechen rebellion began in the 1990s as a largely ethnic nationalist movement, fired by a sense of injustice over the 1940s transportation of Chechens to Central Asia, with enormous loss of life, by dictator Josef Stalin. Largely since the second war, Russian officials say, Islamic militants from outside Russia have joined the campaign, lending it a new intensity.

Chechen terrorists have been responsible for previous mass casualty attacks in Russia, including a 2002 attack on a Moscow theater and the 2004 Beslan school massacre, in which terrorists took more than 1,100 people – including over 770 schoolchildren – hostage, ultimately killing hundreds.

Though the majority of suicide bombers have been male, female suicide bombers have carried out a number of attacks since 1985. Some militant organizations have used women to carry out suicide bombings because they draw less suspicion than men and go through less rigorous security checks. For example: while a man can be checked to see if he's carrying an explosive belt by simply lifting his shirt, ordering a woman is much less acceptable, particularly in the Islamic world. Israeli security procedures practice is that a suspected woman is to be checked by a female soldier in a screened off area.

British spy satellites have intercepted terrorist communications from Pakistan and Yemen, talking about women suicide bombers getting explosives put inside breast implants.

The Quran explicitly talks about female virgins with large eyes as rewards for men. On the contrary there is not a single "women will get guys as a reward" verse. – I wonder if these female suicide-bombers are all Lesbians?

Obama Is Poking His Finger Into The Eye

It looks like the Devil is busy poisoning the minds with blind hatred towards his enemies the Jews. He believes that if he can destroy the Jews, and the Nation of Israel, the Messiah won’t be able to arrive in Israel.

Last week America’s Muslim President, Barack Obama Hussein, intentionally humiliated Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu by ignoring customs and abstaining from any public appearance with him during Netanyahu's visit to the White House.

Normally - when a Head of State visits the US - he or she is greeted with honor, some-times even military honors. For example when one of the Arab Leaders comes to the White House, they are even met at the Airport by the President Himself. If it happens to be the King of Saudi Arabia, Obama even bows before him to show his submission to Islam. All these people are invited through the front door of the White House and brought to the Oval Office. And of course the visit is always covered by the media with full press coverage.

However, Obama did not allow any press coverage or photographs to be taken of his meeting with Netanyahu. The Israeli Prime Minister was brought in under the cover of night through a side door and quickly ushered into a side room where he had to wait for the “grand appearance” of the President, who took his time. Obama arrived with all his arrogance and distain showing, what has been reported as a vindictive attitude towards the Jewish Leader of Israel.

Oh my goodness, - I never thought I'd see the day that an American administration would denounce the Jewish state of Israel for rebuilding Jerusalem.

America’s Muslim president is directly responsible for the break-down of the peace process. It is no coincidence that as all this unfolded, Palestinian Arabs were rioting in Jerusalem and elsewhere, again shooting rockets out of Gaza.

And what seems to be the big problem? Apartments are being built in Jerusalem!

Jerusalem, the city of King David, has been the Jewish capital for over 4000 years. Conquering nations occupied Jerusalem over the time, but there has never been another State with Jerusalem as its capital. It has always been a Jewish town. Even when Jesus was there, he visited the town to worship at the Temple as a Jew. – The only one who was never there was Muhammad. In one of his dreams he “flew” on a horse to a far-away mosque. At the time of his dream there was no mosque in Jerusalem, so he couldn’t have flown there. – Jerusalem is never even mentioned in the Koran. – Muslims bow their heads towards Mecca, and their rear-end towards the Jewish Temple mount.

The world is putting Israel’s right to exist is on trial, trying to delegitimize the Jewish claim to their land. Under Obama, Jerusalem has now become occupied territory in the West Bank. Israel's enemies have found another battlefield -- the worldwide court of public opinion. It's an attempt to wipe Israel off the map, not with a nuclear bomb, but with slander and to paint a future world without Israel.

Obama no longer negotiates with Israel, he demands that Israel submit to the Islamic Arabs and give up their land in order to appease the Islamic Arabs. In short, what he is demanding is the final and total destruction of the Jewish State of Israel. But then, he already promised during his election campaign: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Obama, you may poke your finger into the chest of the Israeli Prime Minister. What you are really doing, is poking your finger into G-D’s eye. The Almighty declares Jerusalem as his own city. You better pay attention to what G-D says to you! "Anyone who injures you injures the very pupil of my eye. But I will shake my hand over them, and they will be plundered by those who were formerly their slaves.” (Zech. 2:8-9) …It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. …” (Zechariah 12:9)

Rabbi Samson Rafael Hirsch and Professor Arnold B. Ehrlich believe that rather than referring to God’s eye, the “eye that has been touched” (Hebrew, aino) belongs to the one doing the touching (hanoge’ah).

Understood in this context, the one touching [harming] Israel damages his own eye so at the very least, he can no longer see clearly. His perception has diminished, physically, mentally and theologically. And if the damage is severe, he may have even blinded himself so he can no longer distinguish truth from non-truth.

Whichever way one interprets Zechariah 2:8—either touching the apple [pupil] of G-D’s eye or of one’s own eye—the bottom line is that G-D is well aware of the persecution the Jews have suffered throughout the ages. And He has vowed to recompense those who fostered harm upon them. For better or for worse, they are His covenant people.

Irrespective of what we see or think in today’s world, HaShem is at work in the Jewish homeland. Rest assured He will completely fulfill every promise He has made.

Yet, Obama doesn’t care. His Jihadist intent to destroy the United States from within and his hatred for the USA and even its flag is becoming well known.

However, one day he also will stand before the Almighty, when He will judge all nations according to how they treated his people, - the Jews.

Hillary's Harsh Words for Israel

Last Friday, Hillary Clinton telephoned the Israeli Prime Minister and expressed frustration over Israel's announcement of new settlement construction, a move that deeply embarrassed visiting U.S. Vice President. Clinton warned Benjamin Netanyahu that his government sent a "deeply negative signal" by taking steps that undermined renewed Middle East “piece”- (often spelled “peace”-) talks. She insisted that Israel had undermined trust and confidence in the peace process ... Netanyahu really got an earful as State Hillary Clinton lashed out verbally at him on Shabbat. Such harsh language was never before directed at a friend and ally of the United States.

If you remember, - Netanyahu issued a 10-month building freeze in Judea and Samaria in November 2009, because of US pressure. This was supposed to reignite those piece talks.

In March, Defense Minister Ehud Barak approved the building of 112 homes in the Judean hareidi-religious community of Beitar Illit. Israel's Interior Ministry announced plans to develop 1,600 new residences in the large Ramat Shlomo hareidi-religious neighborhood, in northeast Jerusalem.

But Biden issued a strong statement against the Jerusalem construction. "I condemn the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in East Jerusalem,” Biden said. "The substance and timing of the announcement, particularly with the launching of proximity talks, is precisely the kind of step that undermines the trust we need right now and runs counter to the constructive discussions that I've had here in Israel.”

In a Friday interview with CNN, Clinton called Israel's building announcement "insulting" to the United States, and reaffirmed the US commitment to the "two-state solution." "I mean, it was just really a very unfortunate and difficult moment for everyone," said Clinton, "and I regret deeply that that occurred and made that known."

Following Clinton's phone call on Shabbat, Prime Minister Netanyahu called the leaders of Italy and Germany to discuss what had happened. He assured them that regulations would be put in place to prevent such an occurrence in the future.

U.S. envoy George Mitchell is expected to arrive in Israel on Tuesday, and will meet with the Prime Minister. However, PA chief negotiator Saeb Erekat said that the PA may not engage even in indirect negotiations with Israel unless the Jewish state reverses its decision to build in Ramat Shlomo.

Why does America think it can dictate how many houses should be built in Jerusalem? Is it one of their cities? The gradual and steady destruction of Native American culture is a shameful chapter in Americas’ history. Shouldn’t America return those occupied territories before they start telling other countries what to do? – That, by the way, is exactly the reason, why other countries dislike Americans; because they always try to tell everyone else what to do.

Yet U.S. Muslim President Barack Hussein Obama did not hold back in condemning the humiliation caused to Joe Biden with the Israeli announcement of 1,600 new housing units in East Jerusalem during what was supposed to be the vice president's friendly visit to Israel. Instead of accepting Netanyahu's partial apology and letting bygones be bygones, Obama issued a stern warning to the Israeli prime minister and is now demanding that he take "specific actions" to show he is "committed" to the U.S.-Israel relationship and to the piece process itself.

It looks like the prime minister has reached the moment of truth, where he must choose between his beliefs and political cooperation with the right on one hand, and his need for American support on the other.

It is a difficult dilemma. If he comes into conflict with the U.S. administration - hoping his friends in Congress and the Jewish-American community support him in the name of Washington's obligation to the "eternal capital of the Jewish people" - he could jeopardize Israel's security cooperation with the Americans against Iran. Netanyahu knows that the fuel and spare parts for Israel's air force, as well as the warning signals for missiles headed this way, all come from the United States. He also knows that Israel has no other allies with which to face the threat posed by the Islamic Republic.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu tried to calm down the political crisis with the United States and told the Cabinet Sunday morning “not to get carried away and to calm down” following the unprecedented public rebuke from top American officials.

When God gave us the land in Gen. 12:3, He really meant it. You see, God cannot lie and He says what he means and means what He says. When the White House pressured Sharon to disengage from Gaza, it resulted in over 9,000 Jews becoming refugees in their own country, - and to this day many of them are still homeless. Within a day or so of this New Orleans was destroyed, causing hundreds of thousands of Americans to become refugees in their own country, and rendering nearly a million homeless. Dozens of these correlated events have occurred every time the White House forced Israel to make concessions to the enemies of G-D and of Israel.

Now the US has sent its VP and Secretary of State to force Israel to split the country by making sure the "Palestinians" have a contiguous state and yet there is no other way to do that without cutting Israel in half.

In the news we hear of the coming big earthquake in California - but little is said of the New Madrid Fault that starts in Missouri and goes south to Mississippi. This could cut the US in half causing millions to be affected and many killed. Since G-D repays Israel’s enemies with the same medicine, this would certainly be a possibility considering what we have witnessed over the past few years. One thing is certain, God will always do what He says, Gen: 12:3. - America, your downfall is closer than you think.

Meanwhile, in Israel, the Government has now quietly started issuing the new gas masks, including the nerve gas shots. Local Israeli papers have issued warnings to everyone to stock their bomb shelters with the necessary supplies and to be sure they can be sealed properly.

There seems to be not much difference in the behavior of the average Israeli. They have been there before and know they will survive and be able to fight the enemy when the time comes. On the other hand, they also know that something will happen very soon. If they are worried, they just try not to show it.

Israel will not be destroyed, and the Messiah will plant His Feet on the Mount of Olives and when He does the whole world will know all about it. We have to understand is that the Master of this World has set the Redemption of His Nation Israel into high gear with the resettlement of the Land of Israel in our time, the rebuilding of Jerusalem, the ingathering of the exiles, and reemergence of Israel as a world power during the last 62 years. All of this is to establish “Malchut” – the Kingship of G-d over the world.

For the Jew, Israel is and will be the safest place on earth, and many are beginning to wake up to that fact, as they start to leave Europe while the airlines are still operating.

G-d’s plan for Israel in particular and the world as a whole - as promised to the Prophets of Israel - will surely come to pass.

The Controversy of Zion

Last week I read that Palestinian President Abbas pointed a finger at Israel, saying that it crossed red lines in Jerusalem. He also said that Israel damaged the chances for a peace process. He even called on the American administration to "stop the adventure which may ignite a religious war in the region."

The clashes began as Arabs started to hurl stones at the Western Wall plaza and police forces stationed at the Mugrabi Gate in Jerusalem's Old City. The Arab attacks on Jews followed a sermon that area residents said encouraged Muslim violence. Israeli police forces removed the stone throwers and stormed the Temple Mount compound, using stun grenades.

Let’s see, who started it? The Arabs! They even threw stones at tourists. What did the Israelis do? They sent their police to stop the stone throwers. – But who gets blamed for hindering the peace process? The Israelis.

On June 7th, 1967, the city of Jerusalem was reunited for the first time since its partition in 1948. On June 14, 1967, the rubble was cleared from the Western Wall Square. Once again, the holiest place for all Jews was open, and all were invited to visit. It was estimated that 200,000 Israelis visited the Western Wall, though they had to pass through six police barriers to reach the site.

Today, the Jews are again faced with the prospect of their beloved city being divided for the sake of appeasement. Israel faces not only the bias of the entire Arab world, and many in the European Union, it faces unwarranted bias from our own U. S. State Department’s refusal to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

So, to whom does Jerusalem belong?

Over 3000 years ago, G-D told King David: "...I have chosen Jerusalem, so that my name can be there: and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel" (II Chronicles 6:6). In (II Chronicles 33:4) he says: “My name will be in Jerusalem forever.”

In the Hebrew alphabet the letter Shin ש is the first letter in the name of God, Shaddai. Shaddai, meaning "the keeper of the doors of Israel", is inscribed on the mezuzot on all the doorways of a Jewish home.

The map above identifies the geography of ancient Jerusalem. Three valleys surround Jerusalem, the Kidron Valley on the east, The Refaiim Valley, just east of the City of Zion, and the Hinom Valley south and west of the City of Zion. Together with the Temple Mount and Jerusalem in their midst, they form the Hebrew letter Shin (high-lighted in red).

Could it be that G-D constructed the geography of the region to fulfill the verses above and actually, and physically, put His name on Jerusalem? Is the "fingerprint of HaShem" on Jerusalem for all to see? Maybe. Just a coincidence, perhaps, perhaps not, but it is something to meditate on.
The prophet Isaiah predicted: "The Law will go out from Zion, and the word of Adonai from Jerusalem." (Isaiah 2:3)

The Almighty has preserved Jerusalem. The city of Jerusalem has been leveled to the ground five times. Her people have been carried away captive, yet Jerusalem always rises from the rubble because G-D has ordained it through the centuries! –Jerusalem belongs to G-D.

It is therefore not wise to “mess” with Jerusalem, especially not the people who’s Koran never even mentions that city.

G-D takes a very dim view indeed of any nation that puts its hand to the division of His land. He has vowed to deal extremely harshly with those who do this. God has, He says, “a day of vengeance for the controversy of Zion.” (Joel 3:2; Isaiah 34:1-8)

It would be best for any nation not to mess with Jerusalem, because they will fall into the hands of the living G-D and the consequences will be awful.

What Is Happening On Planet Earth?

A devastating magnitude-8.8 earthquake struck Chile early Saturday morning, shattering buildings and bridges, killing at least 700 people and setting off a tsunami that threatened every nation around the Pacific Ocean — roughly a quarter of the globe.

What is happening on planet Earth?

Last November, governmental representatives from 170 countries went to Copenhagen for the “Climate Gate Conference”. Remember?

They met to discuss Global Warming, the theory that mankind’s liberation of “greenhouse” gases—such as carbon dioxide—is leading to a relentless, unprecedented, and ultimately catastrophic warming of the entire planet. They met there seeking to prevent global warming and climate changes with new laws about carbon emission.

There is no doubt that mankind has liberated huge quantities of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere over the past two centuries. But mankind did not “create” this carbon dioxide out of nothing. It was released by the burning of “fossil fuels”, created by the Earth from the remains of plants and animals (who themselves ultimately obtained their nutrition from those plants).

Where do you think those plants got their energy and carbon dioxide from? - They absorbed the radiant energy of the Sun, and breathed in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, as plants continue to do today. In other words, when we burn fossil fuels, we are utilizing a small part of the solar energy that had been collected and stored by plants over millions of years, and in the process we are liberating into the atmosphere the carbon dioxide that those plants had absorbed from the atmosphere in the first place.

We all know by now that there is no such thing as global warming. The recent snow storms across America and Europe bear witness that it has been getting colder.
Indeed, strange things are happening in both outer and inner space. The Earth's magnetic field has been weakening. Scientists say that this decrease actually began about 2,000 years ago, but the rate of decrease suddenly became much more rapid 500 years ago. However, in the last 20 years or so, the magnetic field has become erratic. – I find this very significant. Just think of biblical events that took place during that time.

The decline in the magnetic field is also opening the Earth's upper atmosphere to intense charged-particle radiation, according to scientists.

The Sun floods the planets of the solar system with heat, light, UV radiation and electrically charged particles. The Sun itself has a magnetic field, and that magnetic field creates an "egg" around the solar system that is known as the heliosphere. The heliosphere is shaped like a teardrop, with the long, thin end of the drop pointing away from the direction in which we're travelling. - Any changes that occur in or on the Sun will eventually affect every person alive.

According to NASA, the Sun is beginning another 11- year cycle of activity. The Sun flips its magnetic poles every 11 years. Considering that the Sun is to blame for some unfavorable climate changes on the Earth, the coming decade could spell more trouble for our planet.

Mankind can’t control the changes in our solar system. G-D himself is shaping our way of life on this planet; and the changes we are now seeing with our Sun, the solar system and the Earth's magnetic field may be the very things that transform our world as we know it into something new when the Messiah arrives.

We truly live in very interesting times!

Jewish Heritage Sites Cause Uproar

Last week Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu added two key biblical sites to his list of about 150 national heritage sites. This action ensures that these heritage sites are kept in good shape for the worshippers.

Fifteen years ago, standing outside Ma'arat HaMachpela, the Tomb of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs in Hebron, Ariel Sharon declared, "What nation in the world has such a monument, where all the leaders of the people are buried, Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Lea?! All foreign diplomats should be brought here, all visiting tourists should be brought here, and all Israeli school children should be brought here! This is our roots!"

Netanyahu’s action upset the Palestinians. They threw rocks and burnt tires. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said this move could spark what he called a "religious war." Obama, himself a Muslim, sides with the Palestinians and criticized Israel Wednesday for designating the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron and the matriarch Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem as Israeli national heritage sites.

The same day the East coast was warned to expect a strengthening storm to cause immobilizing blizzard damage. -The worst of the storm is yet to come, even as drenching rain is falling in eastern New England and snow is already accumulating and making roads slippery in the northern mid-Atlantic. Meteorologists expect the storm's worst to take place from Wednesday evening into Friday morning in most areas as winds, snow, rain and related problems increase in intensity.

Coincidence or consequence?

Both Rachel's Tomb and the Cave of the Patriarch's are very important heritage sites to Jews and Christians and require upgrading and preservation.

Rachel’s Tomb is the site of her actual grave and the spot is covered by a large rock and eleven stones resting upon it, signifying the eleven sons of Jacob still alive upon her death. The Tomb of the Patriarchs is the oldest structure built by Herod and is worthy just for that little known fact. The ancient building housing the graves of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebecca, Jacob and Leah, according to tradition.

It was in the city of Hebron, that Avraham's wife Sara died. It was here that David was proclaimed king and ruled for 7 1/2 years before going on to Yerushalayim and turning it into his capital.

In 1929, Arabs broke into a Yeshiva and massacred more than 50 people in cold blood. Because of the constant Arab violence, the Jews of the city were forced to leave.

The riots were instigated by Hajj Amin al-Husseini who had been appointed by the British as Mufti of Jerusalem. The riots started on Friday afternoon, August 23rd. Hordes of marauders attacked every Jew they saw. The next Shabbos, Aug. 24th, thousands of Arabs armed with knives, axes and pitchforks launched an attack on Jewish homes. The bloodthirsty mob killed, wounded and tortured the Jews in a most barbarous manner. Three days later, the British loaded the remaining Jews on trucks and evacuated them from the city.

In 1948, the U.N. gave this city to the Arabs and no Jew was allowed to enter it. It was only in June of '67 (the Six-Day War) that the Arabs fearing revenge, surrendered to the Israeli Army without a single shot being fired and Jews could once again pray at the Meoras Ha'Machpelah.

Jews have always lived in this holy city except when they were banned to live there by their foreign rulers.

What makes Palestinians think it belongs to them? It was only in 1976 that they formed their movement. Before that they were Jordanians or something else.

Muhammad created his religion only in 610 C.E., after he had some dreams. This was over 4000 years after Abraham had bought a burial plot in Hebron, the Cave of Machpela, in which he buried his wife, Sarah. It clearly is, and always has been, a Jewish heritage place.

Why Don't You Read The Book?

We all heard in the news last week, how the Syrian Prime Minister warned Israel that any new Mideast war would be catastrophic for the region and beyond.

I find it interesting that Syria would make such a statement, because the Bible tells us of a horrible series of events that will take place in the lands of Israel and Syria in the last days.

One of these events is the disappearance of Damascus, the capital of Syria. The prophets predict it three times. Isaiah 17:1 says:”Dammesek will stop being a city; it will become a heap of ruins.” Jeremiah 49:26 predicts: “...her young men will fall in her squares, and all her warriors be silenced on that day...” Amos 1:5 warns that Adonai will break the bars of Dammesek’s.

So, yes, the Syrian PM is right, the next war will be catastrophic for the region and beyond, especially for Syria.

The singer who penned the lyrics to the ‘Exodus’ theme song was here last week with a delegation of Christian supporters of Israel.

Even thought Pat Boone has sold over 45 million albums, enjoyed 38 Top 40 hits and starred in more than 12 Hollywood movies and a hit TV show during his ongoing 55-year career, there’s one song that his Jewish fans keeps wanting to hear from him – the “Theme to Exodus.”

And as it turns out, it’s not only Jews, but also Christian supporters of Israel who are smitten with the “second Jewish national anthem,” as the 75-year-old Boone good-naturedly calls the song which dramatically intones, “This land is mine, God gave this land to me.”

Last week in Jerusalem, the one-time teen idol gave an impromptu performance of the song for the 170 members of the American Christian delegation he was part of, brought over by former US presidential candidate and current FOX News host Mike Huckabee.

While suturing up a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, whose hand had been caught in the gate while working his cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama, and his being our president.

The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Obama is just a Post Turtle."

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked, "What's a "Post Turtle?"

The old rancher said, "Well, when you're driving down a country road, and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."
The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain.

"You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he sure as heck ain't goin' anywhere, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there in the first place."

What Is Going On?

What is going on? – I was reading in our SWI news - my husband puts together everyday –that the U.S. deployed two Patriot missile systems into four Islamic countries--Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait. Furthermore the US is also keeping Aegis cruisers, which can shoot down medium-range missiles, on patrol in the Gulf.

I guess, the idea behind the sales of anti-missile systems to those countries, is to deter Iran from launching attacks against its Sunni Muslim neighbors and to send a message to Israel that a pre-emptive strike against Iran is unnecessary. By selling conventional American weapons, Washington hopes to stop a nuclear arms race in the region.

These are major defensive and foreign policy decisions all went forward without an "official" announcement. The news media seems to be lost for an explanation because this Administration has been so determined to engage Iran in talking rather than any action. This unannounced, sudden and substantial defensive fortification in the area is likely to raise tension not only with Iran, but also with Iran's allies, Russia and China.

For almost ten years, America accused Iran of building nuclear bombs and the missile system to deliver them. The United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency denied Iran's intentions until recently, giving the terrorist sponsoring nation the needed time to build such weapons. Russia and China have continually blocked any substantial action against Iran from their positions on the U.N. Security Council. Here is what’s happening: The White House has been trying to prevent Israel from attacking Iran's nuclear sites. And now the White House has beefed up defenses in the Persian Gulf area and is selling more weapons to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states at an accelerated pace.

Arming Islamic enemies of Iran is a doubled edged sword. It is putting a huge amount of firepower in the hands of Islamic rulers whose hatred for Israel runs far deeper than their hatred for their Islamic brothers.

Israel's Disproportionate Reponse

Many countries and world leaders have accused Israel of responding disproportionately to aggression from Hizballah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.

However, it is time that the world press and media speak of another disproportionate response from Israel.

The terrible disastrous earthquake in Haiti has generated responses from many nations. The US has sent supplies and personnel, Britain sent 64 firemen and 8 volunteers, France sent troops for Search and Rescue. Many large and wealthy nations of the world sent money. The Arab and Moslem world nothing.

Israel, a nation of 7.5 million people has sent a team of 220 people that include Medical personnel and will establish the largest field hospital in Haiti, treating up to 5000 people a day, an experienced Search and Rescue team and medical supplies. As in previous earthquake disasters, such as in Gujarat India in 2001 and in Turkey, in the bombings in Kenya, Israel has been one of the most generous givers of aid and assistance

Turkey seems to have forgotten this help as its extreme Moslem Government is cozying up to Iran.

Judge Goldstone, where are you now? Eating your heart out and hanging your head down in shame I hope.

The favorite occupation in the UN is Israel bashing. More resolutions have been passed condemning Israel than all the so called democratic nations such as Sudan, China, Russia and others for their crimes against their minorities.

I think it is time that the world should know about Israel's disproportionate response.

In the midst of the overwhelming death and destruction that is Haiti right now, there are Israelis who have come to save lives and offer succor.

On Friday, El Al and IDF planes came into Haiti, carrying 250 medical personnel -- doctors, nurses, lab and x-ray technicians and even a psychiatrist -- and supplies for a mobile hospital, including a pharmacy, a surgical unit, and a maternity ward. A young Haitian mother who was the first to deliver in this ward, early this morning, named her baby Israel.

Members of ZAKA, the Israeli ultra-Orthodox volunteer rescue organization, were on the scene as well. Yesterday, on Shabbat, they labored, digging in the rubble of a collapsed multi-story university building, where cries were heard. After hours of effort, they succeeded in pulling eight students from that rubble, alive.

These ZAKA members then took time, in the midst of the chaos, to wrap themselves in their tallitot (prayer shawls) and recite their Shabbat prayers. Undoubtedly most if not all of the Haitians on the scene had never seen such a sight.

When the men had finished praying, a crowd of people gathered around them and kissed their tallitot.

According to one report, head of the ZAKA mission, Mati Goldstein said:

"With all the hell going on outside, even when things get bad Judaism says we must take a deep breath and go on to save more people.

"We did everything to save lives, despite Shabbat. People asked, 'Why are you here? There are no Jews here', but we are here because the Torah orders us to save lives."

At one point, when things were very grim, Goldstein reported that one mission member started to sing, Heveinu Shalom Aleichem (We bring peace to you.) "I had tears in my eyes," he said.

The ZAKA mission will be staying in Haiti a couple more days, even though beyond a certain point it is highly unlikely that anyone else will be found alive under the rubble.

What is exceedingly important to the mission is making their Israeli identity very clear. And so, in this regard, you can help Israel by sharing this broadly and letting the world know what we are all about.

G-D's Promise to Israel

The so called Arab-Israeli conflict has been brewing for over 4000 years. It began with Isaac and Ishmael, the sons of Abraham, escalated in the time of Jacob and Esau, the sons of Isaac, and continued throughout the time. It became a Moslem-Jewish conflict with the advent of Islam in the 6th century AD.

The Palestinian goal never was to accept a two state solution. They’ve already turned that deal down at least twice. The real goal is to eliminate the Jewish state altogether.

The Koran teaches that any land conquered in the name of Islam will never be lost. The very existence of the nation Israel is a violation of that teaching because the land of Israel, including and especially Jerusalem, was once conquered for Islam.

Since 1948 the utter destruction of Israel has been the stated Moslem goal, but half a dozen wars have taught them that Israel was too strong to be destroyed militarily. - As long as the Palestinians can win concessions at the bargaining table war can be avoided, but the day will come when no more concessions can be given, and the only option will be to go to war for the rest.

The “Peace Process” enables the Palestinians to win back much of the land through inexpensive negotiations. This has the effect of simultaneously weakening Israel and giving the Moslem forces time to gain the necessary strength to take the rest.

Today, conventional warfare requires more geography because of the speed of modern aircraft and missiles rather than less to give defenders sufficient time to react to an attack. Taking land from central Israel (the West Bank) means that attack aircraft could fly over the country in about 8 minutes. This is not enough time to react with effective counter measures. Giving up the West Bank would make Israel less secure.

Israel’s enemies used the time spent in negotiations to create long-range ballistic missile and biological warfare capabilities in an effort to neutralize Israel’s nuclear threat. It is a nasty situation all around.

Most informed observers believe that as soon as the Moslems have gained everything possible from negotiating and believe they’re strong enough to destroy Israel, they’ll attack.

So much for what the Palestinians and their supporters are planning….

However, G-D made His road map for Israel clear from the start!

(Isaiah 46:10): “At the beginning I announce the end, proclaim in advance things not yet done, and say that my plan will hold.” - He also made it clear that the name of the Land is Israel and not Palestine (Ezekiel 37:12). “This is what ADONAI says, who gives the sun as light for the day, who ordained the laws for the moon and stars to provide light for the night, who stirs up the sea until its waves roar – ADONAI-Tzva’ot is His name: ’If these laws leave my presence’, says ADONAI, ‘then the offspring of Israel will stop being a nation in my presence forever.’” (Jeremiah 31:35-37)

So, you see – G-D’s promise to Israel is as certain as the existence and order of the universe!

Al Quaeda Jihad Jockeys

You already heard about the Delta jet heading into Detroit on Christmas Day, when the Nigerian passenger who lit a device intending to blow up the plane.

Passengers on the flight saw Abdulmutallab go to the bathroom for approximately twenty minutes. Upon returning to his seat, Abdulmutallab stated that his stomach was upset and he pulled a blanket over himself. His seat in aisle 19 was over the fuel tanks of the jetliner and at the window, where an explosion would have had maximum effect. But terrorist didn’t expect the quick-thinking response of a fellow passenger, Jasper Schuringa, a video director from Holland.

The minute Schuringa heard the firecracker-type popping, smelt the smoke and saw the fire coming from the opposite side of the plane, he leapt over seats and passengers to get to the source. - When he got to Abdulmutallab, Schuringa started searching his body for explosives and took a syringe that was melting and smoking from the Nigerian's body. He used his hand to put out the fire. - Then fire started under his seat.

“Water, water", screamed Schuringa. Cabin attendants rushed with fire extinguishers to control the flame.

But the Dutchman was not satisfied that all was under control, and along with an attendant, dragged Abdulmutallab from his seat into the first class compartment where "we stripped him to see if he had any more explosives". They then handcuffed the suspect to a stationary object. – Thank G-D for a man like Schuringa, who acted quickly and with courage!

23 year-old Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab is an engineering student at University College of London. He was flying from Nigeria to the United States for a “religious ceremony”. Really? What kind of a “religious ceremony”? Islamic Jihad on the air-plane??

An FBI analysis found that the device AbdulMutallab carried aboard the flight from Amsterdam to Detroit, contained the explosive pentaerythritol tetranitrate, known as PETN.

The amount of explosive involved was sufficient to blow a hole in the side of the aircraft, a source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN Sunday.

Penthrite was first synthesized in 1891 by Bernhard Tollens and Wiegand by nitration of pentaerythritol. In 1912, after being patented by the German government, the production of PETN started. PETN was used by the German Army in World War I.

PETN seems to be used as an igniter for TATP, acetone peroxide, an organic peroxide and a primary high explosive. It takes the form of a white crystalline powder with a distinctive acrid odor which seems to be the explosive of choice if its homemade. Many suicide bombers were found with both PETN and TATP in the explosive vests they used. In December 2001, PETN was the igniter used by - “shoe bomber” Richard Reid - in his attempt to blow up American Airlines Flight 63 from Paris to Miami. He had intended to use the solid triacetone triperoxide (TATP) as a detonator.

On 28 August 2009, PETN was used in an attempt to murder the Saudi Arabian Deputy Minister of Interior Prince Muhammad bin Nayef by a Saudi suicide-bomber (Abdullah Hassan al Asiri) linked to an Al Qaeda cell based in Yemen. The target survived, and the bomber died in the blast. The PETN was hidden in his anal cavity.

And sure enough, Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attempted Christmas Day terrorist attack on a plane about to land in the U.S.! - In a tape released four days before the attempted destruction of the Detroit-bound Northwest plane, the leader of al Qaeda in Yemen boasted of what was planned for Americans, saying, "We are carrying a bomb to hit the enemies of God."...Which God? Allah, the moongod? - Jihad again came to America!

But president Obama keeps ignoring Flight 253 jihadist's ties to Al-Qaeda and Fort Hood imam, and calls him "isolated extremist".

Say what? Al-Quaeda just admitted they sent him and they will send more.

Nigeria's “This Day” newspaper said he had been given the nickname "Alfa" -- a local term for an Islamic scholar -- while at school in Togo, for his preaching to other students. He also made two trips to Yemen during his student days for short Arabic and Islamic courses, according to a family friend.... Why is it as soon as Muslims begin studying the Koran and believe its content, they start killing people?? – Isn’t it supposed to be a peaceful religion?

To top it off, Abdulmutallab was on a terror watch list, and had been known to anti-terror officials for several years. This didn’t prevent him from boarding Flight 253 - showing that such lists and even official scrutiny are as useless as taking off your shoes in the airport security line. What's more, the Jihadi's father warned American officials about his son, who was being watched already. And still nothing was done to keep him from boarding the plane....He was even able to board the flight in Amsterdam without his passport.

Nevertheless, he made it on the plane with Jihad Jockeys.

The underpants came with a special pouch sewn by al Qaeda's finest seamstresses. In it was a condom packed with 80 grams of PETN, a compound that's a key ingredient in the plastic explosive Semtex. The suicide bomber tried to set it off by using a hypodermic needle to inject it with a powerful acid, while trying to hide his actions by putting a blanket on his lap. Luckily he only managed to set his crotch on fire. – Do you think he still gets 72 virgins?

Every single Jew living in the land of Israel is a modern day Maccabee.
Every Jew who has dared to wrench this re-born homeland from a callous
world that would deny us Jews our birthright, while championing the
birthrights of every other native people in the world --Tibetans, and
Palestinians, and South African Blacks-- is a Maccabee. Every Jew
sitting in Israel, surrounded by the overwhelming power and numbers and
evil designs of the hostile Moslem world, is a Maccabee. With every
candle we light - whether we are religious or secular - we celebrate
those things that hold us together as a nation: our history and our
culture and our faith. We celebrate that these things have not been
erased from the world, and are not now relics behind the glass cases of
museum exhibits like those of the Canaanites, Hittites, and Sumerians.
With every light in our window shining out against the dark night we
proclaim: We are still here and our very existence is a stunning victory
of the weak against the strong, the few against the many, the just, who
love and protect life, against the lawless, who have no respect for
life.

With every candle we light, we reaffirm all those things that hold us
together as a nation and a people: our stubborn disregard for the forces
aligned against us, our rejection of the lies told about us, and our
unwavering assertion of our history and our right to take our place as a
nation among the nations. We assert that we are in our homeland, the
land that was given to us and which we have inhabited - in lesser or
greater numbers-from the time we crossed the Jordan with Joshua.

That we, descendants of Abraham and that tribe of desert children born
from freed Egyptian slaves, remember who we are despite all efforts to
make us forget, to convince us otherwise, to rewrite and defile and deny
our history and our rights as a native people living in their native
homeland.

We remember not only what we are, but who we are: the torch-bearers of
the precious value of human life. Our agony as a nation over the life of
one of its precious sons, our willingness to release those who have
murdered us without pity so that that son might return to his family and
live, that agony unites us as a nation because it goes to the deepest
part of our heritage. No other nation in the world would even consider
such a trade. But we do, because that is who we are, demonstrating that
we have not been infected and defiled by the values of other nations. We
stand unique in all the world, every single one of us. Because we are
alive at this time and in this place, and we have chosen to spend that
life in our homeland despite all the dangers and hardships and

Switzerland says the country's new ban on the building of minarets is not aimed at Muslims but at Islamic fundamentalism.

Swiss Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf says her country supports religious freedoms.

She says Sunday's referendum, during which voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional ban on minarets, was not "a referendum against Islam ... but a vote directed against fundamentalist developments."

Widmer-Schlumpf spoke on arrival Monday at a meeting with EU justice ministers. Switzerland is not an EU member but has close and regular contacts with the EU.

Swiss voters support barring construction of the iconic mosque towers in a surprise vote that put Switzerland at the forefront of a European backlash against a growing Muslim population.

Muslim groups in Switzerland and abroad condemned the vote as biased and anti-Islamic. Business groups said the decision hurt Switzerland's international standing and could damage relations with Muslim nations and wealthy investors who bank, travel and shop there.

"The Swiss have failed to give a clear signal for diversity, freedom of religion and human rights," said Omar Al-Rawi, integration representative of the Islamic Denomination in Austria, which said its reaction was "grief and deep disappointment."

The referendum by the nationalist Swiss People's Party labeled minarets as symbols of rising Muslim political power that could one day transform Switzerland into an Islamic nation. The initiative was approved 57.5 to 42.5 percent by some 2.67 million voters. Only four of the 26 cantons or states opposed the initiative, granting the double approval that makes it part of the Swiss constitution.

Muslims comprise about 6 percent of Switzerland's 7.5 million people. Many are refugees from the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s and about one in 10 actively practices their religion, the government says.

The country's four standing minarets, which won't be affected by the ban, do not traditionally broadcast the call to prayer outside their own buildings.

The sponsors of the initiative provoked complaints of bias from local officials and human-rights group with campaign posters that showed minarets rising like missiles from the Swiss flag next to a fully veiled woman. Backers said the growing Muslim population was straining the country "because Muslims don't just practice religion."

"The minaret is a sign of political power and demand, comparable with whole-body covering by the burqa, tolerance of forced marriage and genital mutilation of girls," the sponsors said. They noted that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has compared mosques to Islam's military barracks and called "the minarets our bayonets."

Anxieties about growing Muslim minorities have rippled across Europe in recent years, leading to legal changes in some countries. There have been French moves to ban the full-length body covering known as the burqa. Some German states have introduced bans on head scarves for Muslim women teaching in public schools. Mosques and minaret construction projects in Sweden, France, Italy, Austria, Greece, Germany and Slovenia have been met by protests.

But the Swiss ban in minarets, sponsored by the country's largest political party, was one of the most extreme reactions.

"It's a sad day for freedom of religion," said Mohammed Shafiq, the chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, a British youth organization. "A constitutional amendment that's targeted towards one religious community is discriminatory and abhorrent."

He said he was concerned the decision could have reverberations in other European countries.

Amnesty International said the vote violated freedom of religion and would probably be overturned by the Swiss supreme court or the European Court of Human Rights.

The seven-member Cabinet that heads the Swiss government had spoken out strongly against the initiative but the government said it accepted the vote and would impose an immediate ban on minaret construction.

It said that "Muslims in Switzerland are able to practice their religion alone or in community with others, and live according to their beliefs just as before." It took the unusual step of issuing its press release in Arabic as well as German, French, Italian and English.

Sunday's results stood in stark contrast to opinion polls, last taken 10 days ago, that showed 37 percent supporting the proposal. Experts said before the vote that they feared Swiss had pretended during the polling that they opposed the ban because they didn't want to appear intolerant.

"The sponsors of the ban have achieved something everyone wanted to prevent, and that is to influence and change the relations to Muslims and their social integration in a negative way," said Taner Hatipoglu, president of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Zurich. "Muslims indeed will not feel safe anymore."

The People's Party has campaigned mainly unsuccessfully in previous years against immigrants with campaign posters showing white sheep kicking a black sheep off the Swiss flag and another with brown hands grabbing eagerly for Swiss passports.

Geneva's main mosque was vandalized Thursday when someone threw a pot of pink paint at the entrance. Earlier this month, a vehicle with a loudspeaker drove through the area imitating a muezzin's call to prayer, and vandals damaged a mosaic when they threw cobblestones at the building.

The "Piece Plan" is not a "Peace Plan"

On Saturday the sixth annual Saban Forum began in Jerusalem and Ramallah. The two-day forum runs through Monday, and is supposed to be a dialogue between senior officials from both countries on US-Israel relations and Middle East strategic issues such as the Iranian threat, Syria and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, will be held behind closed doors.

Attending are former US president Bill Clinton, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg and Senators Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham - the highest-level US delegation ever to attend the conference.

Among the Israeli participants are Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Kadima leader Tzipi Livni, Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) director Yuval Diskin and Director of Military Intelligence General Amos Yadlin.

The delegates are scheduled to meet with Bank of Israel governor Stanley Fischer to discuss economic development.

Unique to this year's event, the delegates travelled today to Ramallah to meet with Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salaam Fayad.

Founded in 2004, the Saban Center for Middle East Policy has been working to promote independent policy dialogue between Israel and the US. Founder Haim Saban called the timing of the event "a critical moment in US-Israel relations."

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat announced Sunday that the PA they is preparing to ask the United Nations to recognize an independent Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, without Israel's consent because they are losing faith in the peace talks. - A senior Palestinian official told Fox News that the Palestinian Authority plans to call for Palestinian statehood through a UN resolution in the next few weeks -- a similar maneuver to that by which Israel was created.

Despite widespread assumptions the U.S. would veto any such U.N. Security Council resolution, the PA negotiator said that in initial discussions, the Obama administration did not threaten to veto their conceptual unilateral resolution.

"There is no substitute for negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority and any unilateral attempts outside that framework will unravel the existing agreements between us and could entail unilateral steps by Israel," Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told a high level gathering of Israeli and American policy makers at the Saban Forum in Jerusalem on Sunday night.

Both Palestinians and some Israelis believe that there is growing support in the international community for such a measure.

Asked to comment on the plan, an American official said that such a UN resolution, while not a cure-all, could be expanded upon eventually. Still, he added: "It's a measure that would make you feel good for five minutes. Then what?"

The Palestinians seek an independent state that includes the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem — areas captured by Israel in the 1967 Mideast war.

The Palestinians already declared independence unilaterally on Nov. 15, 1988. The declaration was recognized by dozens of countries, but never implemented on the ground.

For Israel, the creation of a Hamas-controlled, Iranian-influenced Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria—the heartland of the Jewish people and key to Jewish national security—would amount to national suicide.

But G-D has only one plan, because unlike man, he sees the end from the beginning (Isa. 46:9-10). We don’t have to look far in the Bible to see that Israel is in His eternal plan. He doesn’t have a “Piece Plan” - he has a “Peace Plan” - for Israel and the whole world.

Khalid's Trial is America's Trial

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who confessed to be the mastermind of the 9/11 terror attack, will be tried at a federal courthouse in lower Manhattan with the same rights as any US citizens. What is the purpose of this trial if Mr. Mohammed has already confessed? For the Obama administration, the trial will kill two birds with one stone and neither one is to seek justice for Mr. Mohammed since we all already know he did it.

The purpose of the trial is to embarrass the Bush administration and America itself and to give Arabs a golden opportunity to indulge in propaganda to convince the West with falsehoods regarding the root causes of Islamic terrorism; mainly that it is the consequence of US foreign policy, old grievances and America’s supports Israel.

Mr. Mohammed will have a chance to make a case against the US for the waterboarding used on him during his interrogation. That will be a confirmation to Attorney General Eric Holder’s reopening of the waterboarding investigation.

The war between Islamism and the rest of the world is largely a cultural and ideological war. Jihad, violent and non-violent, is a cornerstone of Islam that seeks to penetrate the West by any means. Jihadists are commanded to strike terror in the hearts of non-believers, as the Quran says. Deep fear resulting from such terror, renders some Americans vulnerable to appeasement rather than fight it. Islamists understand that dynamics very well and have used it throughout their history. Now that they have already done the terror, which softened some Americans, it is time to play with American’s minds; to desensitize Americans to Islamic tyranny and as to who is right and who is wrong. In the process, Islamists want us to hear their manufactured propaganda of Arab grievances and put the West on the defensive. That will not be very difficult in Western culture where many are eager to blame America first.

The purpose of jihadists is to make the victims of jihad (America on 9/11), confused as to Islam’s jihadist goals. That is why teaching violent jihad to Muslims must go hand in hand with teaching them hatred of the West, the object of jihad. Jihad education won’t work unless it is simultaneously accompanied by promoting fear and lies about non-Muslim nations Islamists want to conquer. Islamists must also convince the West that Muslim countries are their victims. This is the only way to justify jihadist aspiration. Jihad will go much easier and faster if it is packaged as self defense both to the West and to the Jihadist Muslim youth. Muslim victim-hood image must always be maintained.

The coming civil trial of Mohammed in New York is perhaps the best gift Obama has given to the Saudi Kind Abdullah, leader of the country that produced 15 of the 19 terrorists. He is giving him a chance to save face and present Islam as the victim. When Obama bowed to the Saudi King, it was a sign of subservience to Islam, whether Obama wants to admit it or not. This trial will solidify the claims by some of Obama’s czars that America had it coming on 9/11. The Arab world must be celebrating.

Koran: Allah (G-d) Ordered Jews into Eretz-Israel!

If Hamas, Hezbollah and 'the rest' are fighting a Holy Jihad against the infidel invader then what do they make of the following passages from the Koran? The Pan-Islamists, from Ahmadinejad, to Haniya, Nassrallah make claims that the Jews are invaders. Some have even made claims that Jews never even existed upon the land and that there is no religious link between the Jews and Jerusalem (hmm... wasn't Jesus a Jew? Didn't Mohammed himself fight the Jews of Medina?) or any part of Israel... At the same time Mohammed was honest and acknowledged the special relationship of the Jewish people with G-d and the land He gave them:

[Sura 5:20] Recall that Moses said to his people (the Jews), "O my people, remember GOD's blessings upon you: He appointed prophets from among you, made you kings, and granted you what He never granted any other people."

[Sura 5:21] "O my people, enter the holy land (Israel) that GOD has decreed for you, and do not rebel, lest you become losers."

Later in the Koran, in order to make it clear and leave no doubts that the Jewish G-d had given ownership of the land to and set the mission of the Jews, Mohammed took additional time to repeat the writing of the Torah in Sura 7 about the Jews and Moses:

[Sura 7:137] "We let the oppressed people inherit the land, east and west, and we blessed it. The blessed commands of your Lord were thus fulfilled for the Children of Israel, to reward them for their steadfastness, and we annihilated the works of Pharaoh and his people and everything they harvested."

[Sura 7:144] He said, "O Moses, I have chosen you (the Jews), out of all the people, with My messages and by speaking to you. Therefore, take what I have given you and be appreciative."

Therefore, even according to the Koran, the prophet Mohammed's writings, the Jews were ordered into Eretz-Israel by Allah (G-d)! What is shocking is that most Muslims have never heard of it and never were taught these passages by their mullahs! These parts of the Koran have also been deliberately removed from any discussion of Islamic doctrine by not just Muslim but also Western Islamic scholars!

Jihad at Fort Hood

In 1994 I watched a PBS documentary from Steven Emerson. The film, Jihad in America, featured hiddencamera footage of men publicly raising money for terrorism in U.S. hotel conference rooms. The men were speaking in Arabic. With the help of a staff of researchers Emerson followed the terrorists' monetary sources and monitored their attacks and plans. He obtained videotaped evidence of terrorist training camps and conferences, and tracked the international connections of American operatives to over a dozen organizations.

On September 11, 2001, Islamic hijackers intentionally crashed two airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many others who worked in the buildings.
Jihad had come to America!

What is Jihad? - In the Arabic language the word “Jihad” literally means, "to strive,” and "to struggle” against disbelievers.

- For 1400 years, Muslims always understood the meaning of Jihad as Islamic Holy War. Islamic scholars, Mullahs, Imams, etc., all over the world will agree with this meaning of Jihad. - Technically, Jihad is war against non-Muslims (Jihad al-kuffar or Jihad against the disbeliever).

Early Islam was spread in the Arabian Peninsula solely by holy wars (Jihad). Islam was propagated as a religion by series of wars/battles. As many as 78 historic battles were fought by the Prophet Muhammad himself. And out of 78, only one (battle of ditch) was defensive war, and the rest were all offensive wars. The Prophet Mohammed and his successors initiated series of offensive wars against pagan Arabs, Jews, Christians, etc., to spread or to impose Islam by force as well as to seize the abundance (booty) of these lands.

After Prophet Muhammad gained enough might in his force while in Medina, the tradition was to send an invitation of Islam to various Arab Tribes or countries. First, an invitation to pagans to accept Islam, then war against those who refused to accept Islam. A typical invitation to the people of the book (Christians and Jews) was: “Embrace Islam, or pay the poll-tax (Ziziya), or fight to death.”

You see; the concept of an offensive war to spread the faith of Islam is a genuine Islamic concept. It is considered a Holy War (Jihad), for the sake of Allah. It is not a peaceful struggle, by any means.

In the Qur’an we can find hundreds of verses (Ayats) that dictate to fight holy wars (Jihad) against non-Muslims infidels. Here is one of them: Qur’an-(9:5): “When the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)”.

In the Muslim community, Jihad is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and the obligation to convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.

The majority of the Qur’an’s texts clearly identify Jihad as physical warfare, and the Muslim community always understood these texts to be taken literally. From the time of Muhammad onwards, Jihad as physical warfare in support of Islam, has always been a reality for every Muslim.

Hence, it comes as no surprise when terrorists use the Qur’an to justify their actions, as did Nidal Malik Hasan, the shooter in this week’s Fort Hood massacre, who said: "Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor," before he killed 13 people and wounded 30 others.

The father of one of the soldiers said he heard the shooter exclaim "Allahu Akbar" as he opened fire, reported KSL-TV in Salt Lake City.

According to a doctor who was in a graduate program with him, Nidal Malik Hasan, regularly described the war on terror as "a war against Islam." - Islamic jihadists routinely characterize anti-terror efforts as part of a "war on Islam."

But of course, there is no war on terror, and there is no war on Islam.

There is just the Islamic Jihad against the U.S. and the West.

Why Do The Nations Conspire Against Israel?

Thousands of years ago the psalmist asked: “Why are the nations in an uproar, the peoples grumbling in vain? The earth’s kings are taking positions, leaders conspiring together, against Adonai and His anointed.” (Psalm 2:1-2) –Jews have asked this question every year since that time.

The psalm hints of another source for the ancient hatred that has always plagued the Jewish people. Anti-Semitism is far too ancient, too persistent, too well organized to have its origins in the mind of man, because it is the longest and deepest hatred of human history.

So, why do the nations always plot against the Jews? Why do the nations hate Israel?

The Jewish people’s existence defies all logic. They should have disappeared thousands of years ago. The most powerful nations in every generation planned their destruction, yet they have all disappeared and the tiny Jewish nation is still around.

The return of the Jews to their ancient Jewish homeland can’t be explained in logical terms. It is an event which was predicted thousands of years ago, yet it could not have happened logically. Jews from all over the world have been streaming into Israel. They rejuvenated their ancient language and fended off enemies who outnumbered them.

Today those enemies continue to seek their destruction. Israelis have been murdered by suicide bombers and rock throwers. They are presently under threat of nuclear attack. As if that wasn’t enough, Israel’s leaders insist upon pretending that they can live in peace with those who seek their destruction. Any other such nation would have perished long ago. Yet Israel grows and thrives. All of this is in defiance of logic.

We see a fulfillment of biblical Balaam's prophecy: "It is a people that shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations."(Numbers 23:9) The nation of Israel is not considered as part of the family of nations – when all nations are listed and arranged according to geographical affiliation – some in Europe, others in Asia and others in Africa – the Israeli nation is left outside.

There is a very simple explanation to this question. The Jewish people are physical proof of the existence of G-d. The nations hate G-D. Because they hate G-D, they also hate his word, the Torah, and his people, the Jews. After all, there is nothing quite so upsetting to the post-modern ear, as to hear of a universal standard of truth or a "chosen people." It is this very fact which causes so many to hate the Jews. In this modern age of computers and cell phones we tend to forget and deny the concept of Creation. People have begun to believe that they are the creators and able to control what happens in the world. Even among the Jewish People there are those who prefer not to think about G-D. The very idea of a Jewish State - especially one located in the ancient Land of Israel - forces even atheists to take notice.

Israel reminds the sinful world of G-D’s rule, and of His laws. People today hate these ideas. Thus we see that anti-Semitism, at its heart, is anti-God and anti-Torah.

No other country in the world would as much as suggest building a new county upon its own soil, especially for enemies who seek its destruction. Israel’s leaders have fallen into a trap of their own making by engaging in a so-called “peace process” which, in fact, is a process of self destruction.

Yet, despite these leaders, and despite the overwhelming number of enemies who actively seek Israel’s destruction, the Jewish State continues not merely to exist, but to grow and thrive! This too is clear proof of Divine intervention. There is simply no other explanation.

No power on Earth can destroy Israel. Those who seek her destruction will themselves be destroyed.

The world, apart from Israel and G-D’s word, is lost and doomed. He alone will bring redemption and peace to Israel, and no power on Earth can prevent His Word from coming to pass.

I am sick and tired of the lies.

There was never a so called PLO land, and never will be. If you think this is an outlandish statement, please read on and decide for yourself.

If you go all the way back to the Stone Age and from there to the Israeli conquests from 1,200 – 1,000 BC -- you will not find a "Palestinian" people. Much less a Palestinian nation that was in control of the Holy Land. If you search the history books, you will see that from 1,000 BC up until 587 BC the Jews struggled among themselves over the land, yet stayed in control of it. Later came the Persians then the Hellenists, and later, the Hasmoneans.

Then came the Romans. - To make a long story short, they had so much trouble with the Jews they ended up destroying everything Jewish that they could find. This even included changing the name of the geographical region from Israel to “Palestine”. This happened around 63 BC through 324 AD.

From that time forth everyone who lived in this land were called "Palestinians". The Greeks, Persians, and even the Jews, were all called Palestinians. Much the same as those who live in the USA are all called Americans.

After the Romans came the Byzantines, the Crusaders, the Mamluks, and the Ottoman’s. In 1917 came the British who stayed in control of Palestine until 1948. During their stay in Palestine they even created a State for the Arabs (Palestinians) who lived here; - it’s called Jordan.

Then in May of 1948 G-D started to bring the Jews home, and ISRAEL BECAME A NATION ONCE AGAIN (Ezek. 37).

From 1948 until 1967 Egypt controlled the Gaza Strip and Jordan controlled the “so-called” West Bank, Samaria and Judea.

After the 1967 six day war this all changed, and Israel was once more in control of their mountains “Judea & Samaria” and more importantly their beloved Jerusalem.

I am sure you know all of this. But I want to make this very clear to everyone; there is one thing absent in all of the above.

At no time did the “Palestinians” have control of this land.

It is also interesting to note that during the time span 1948 – 67 when Egypt and Jordan were in control, there was never any talk of a Palestinian State.

Excuse me, but why should the Palestinians have their "State" back, when they never had one to begin with? This is yet another Islamic lie, and part of their desire to control or kill Jacob.

When you hear them say the Jews are occupying Palestinian land, it is another of their lies. But what absolutely amazes me, is that no one is questioning their right to say it. "The West Bank is occupied Palestinian land." This phrase is frequently repeated, as a given, by all the governments of the world and by the entire news media.

One of the problems here is that so few people know the history of the world.

This idea that the West Bank is occupied Palestinian land has been accepted by almost everyone. Yet it is, in fact, the greatest lie ever perpetrated on the whole of humanity.

And in the entire history of nations, Jerusalem was never the capital of any country other than that of ancient Israel and modern Israel. So how can there be a claim on Jerusalem as the capital of a state that never existed?

Jerusalem is not even mentioned in the Koran. Not once!

Is Iran's Ahmadinejad A Self-Hating Jew?

Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has exasperated the world with incensed condemnations of Israel and his insistence that the Holocaust is a hoax, but could there be another reason behind his seeming hatred for the Jews?

According to a London Telegraph report, his ferocity may be overcompensation … for his own Jewish roots.

Examining a photo of the Iranian president holding aloft his identity card during the nation's 2008 elections, the newspaper discovered Ahmadinejad's original family name – prior to their conversion to Islam – was Sabourjian, a Jewish name meaning "cloth weaver."

Ahmadinejad has not denied that his name was changed when his family moved to Tehran in the 1950s, but he has also never confirmed what that original name was.

A note on his identification papers, when magnified from the photo, however, suggests the man from Aradan, Iran, carried a common Jewish name from the region of his birth. "Sabourjian," the Telegraph reports, is even on the list of reserved names for Iranian Jews compiled by Iran's Ministry of the Interior.

"This aspect of Mr. Ahmadinejad's background explains a lot about him," commented Ali Nourizadeh of the Centre for Arab and Iranian Studies. "Every family that converts into a different religion takes a new identity by condemning their old faith."

Nouizadeh told the Telegraph, "By making anti-Israeli statements, he is trying to shed any suspicions about his Jewish connections. He feels vulnerable in a radical Shia society."

Ahmadinejad, the fourth of seven children to a man who worked as an ironworker, grocer, barber and blacksmith, moved with his family to Tehran was he was a small child. Reportedly, the family moved to seek better economic fortunes, but also took on the new, Islamic name.

A 2007 Congressional Research Service report lists the Iranian president's original family name as "Saborjhian," linking the name to the Farsi "sabor," meaning "thread painter."

Some biographers, including Joel C. Rosenberg, list Ahmadinejad's original family name as "Sabaghian," meaning "dye-master" in Persian.

But the Telegraph reports the name on his papers is "Sabourjian" and cites a London-based expert on Iranian Jewry, who says the "jian" ending is specifically Jewish.

"He has changed his name for religious reasons, or at least his parents had," said the newspaper's source. "Sabourjian is well known Jewish name in Iran."

If Ahmadinejad is of Jewish ancestry, he has done much to distance himself from his heritage.

In a 2006 speech aired on the Iranian News Channel, Ahmadinejad listed alleged crimes by Israel against Palestinians while the crowd chanted, "Death to Israel! Death to Israel!"

Ahmadinejad responded, speaking of the Jewish people, "They have no boundaries, limits or taboos when it comes to killing human beings. Who are they? Where did they come from? Are they human beings? 'They are like cattle, nay, more misguided.' A bunch of bloodthirsty barbarians. Next to them, all the criminals of the world seem righteous."

That same year, he said, "[Isreal] will be gone, definitely. You [Western powers] should know that any government that stands by the Zionist regime from now on will not see any result but the hatred of the people."

At a U.N. meeting last month, the Iranian president denounced Israel for "genocide, barbarism and racism."

"Yesterday, the man who calls the Holocaust a lie spoke from this podium," responded Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the same U.N. summit. "A mere six decades after the Holocaust, you give legitimacy to a man who denies the murder of six million Jews while promising to wipe out the State of Israel, the State of the Jews. What a disgrace. What a mockery of the charter of the United Nations."

The Telegraph reports it contacted the Israeli embassy in London for comment on Ahmadinejad's birth name but was told it would not speak on the Iranian president's background.

"It's not something we'd talk about," said Ron Gidor, a spokesman.

As paradox as it may sound, some Jews are actually against Israel.

While most of the Jews are in favor of Zionism (even if not actively), there are Jews who oppose Zionism. A very few of them oppose Zionism for political reasons, and some oppose Zionism for religious matters: these small sects of Hassidic courts believe that settling Israel before the Messianic Days (the fulfillment of the prophecy regarding the Jewish Messiah) will only delay the coming of the Messiah.

And then there is Richard Goldstone.

On September 15, Goldstone submitted his team’s report on human rights violations in the Gaza conflict to the U.N. Human Rights Council. It is a 574-page review — based on 188 individual interviews; 10,000 pages of documents; 1,200 photos, including satellite imagery, and 30 videos — that blisters with specificity. The U.N. is known for its bias against Israel.

The report states that both Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group controlling Gaza, committed war crimes and possibly crimes against humanity. It cites the many rockets launched by Hamas against Israeli civilians in the months preceding and during the conflict as war crimes; likewise, an instance of Israeli soldiers shelling a home in which they had forced Palestinian civilians to assemble and seven incidents in which it says Israeli soldiers shot civilians “while they were trying to leave their homes to walk to a safer place, waving white flags, in some of the cases, following an injunction from the Israeli forces to do so.”

The report also found that despite its claims to have thoroughly investigated human rights allegations made against its military’s conduct, “the Government of Israel had not carried out any credible investigations into alleged violations.” Nor, it found, had Hamas.

Goldstone’s mission recommended that the Security Council require both parties to conduct such investigations and report back within six months on the results, and on any prosecutions they will carry out on the violations identified in its report. If either party fails to do so, Goldstone urged the Security Council to refer the matter to the prosecutor for the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Excuse me, there weren’t just a few rocket attacks during the months proceeding, - Israel endured an 8-year-long barrage of 12,000 rockets and having exhausted all other options, Israel launched a military operation against Hamas in Gaza in self-defense.

The report is based on Palestinian propaganda lies. Oh, my goodness.

For instance, the tragic story of Khaled Abed Rabbo and his three young daughters — said to have been shot in cold blood by an Israeli soldier on Jan. 7 in the northern Gaza Strip as the family waved white flags — has been retold in many outlets, including Time Magazine, the Irish Times, the Washington Post, the Independent, BBC, and the Sydney Morning Herald, among others. Indeed, the Irish Times reports that “Each day, journalists and human rights investigators come to interview the grieving father.” And, as reported by McClatchy News, the Abed Rabbos’ allegation “is one of at least five such white flag incidents that human rights investigators are looking into across the Gaza Strip.”

Yet, human rights investigators and journalists overlook the serious inconsistencies in the varying accounts delivered by Khaled and his relatives, as well as an ambulance driver who claimed to try to help the family. Moreover, early Palestinian accounts of the deaths — as well as early reports in the Los Angeles Times and Ha’aretz — tell an entirely different story which involves neither white flags nor cold-blooded executions of small children.

'Operation Cast Lead' was limited to two objectives:

1. To stop the bombardment of Israeli civilians by destroying Hamas' mortar and rocket launching apparatus and infrastructure.

2. To reduce the ability of Hamas and other terrorist organizations in Gaza to perpetrate future attacks against the civilian population in Israel.
How can a Jew - any Jew- work against his own people and the Land that G-D himself promised to be a home land for him?

Mr. Goldstone: “Don’t you think you have a responsibility towards HaShem, your own people and His Land?”

Obedience Is Better Than Sacrifice

Throughout history the Almighty “blesses” sin-laden people with leaders who deceivingly purport to represent them for good and just reasons, but in the end they lead their nations and those who populate them to destruction and ruin. They have a corrupt heart, revel in their wickedness and enable evil.

"Their deeds are deeds of wickedness, their hands produce violence. Their feet run to evil, they rush to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of wickedness; their paths lead to havoc and ruin. The way of peace they do not know ; their goings-about obey no law ; they make devious paths for themselves: no one treading them will ever know peace.”(Isaiah 59:6-8)

The people are paying a high price for their sins. The sovereign G-D who rules will not be mocked. No government exists and no individual rules, but what He allows. Nations who flaunt their wickedness are as rotten fruit and an affront to a righteous and holy G-D. They often end up being plucked and eliminated.

There are no secular solutions for a spiritual disease! G-D delivers those who do His bidding and who rely on Him in all things. Repentance and a spiritual return to G-d is the only remedy.

“Thus says the L-RD; cursed be the man that trusts in humans, who relies on merely human strenghth, whose heart turns away from Adonai .” (Jeremiah 17:5)

We reap exactly what we sow. - Righteous and virtuous people can expect righteous government and virtuous leaders; an unwholesome and iniquitous people can expect the same unwholesomeness from those who rule over them.

The Bible is full of examples. When the children of Israel obeyed G-D, he blessed them with rich harvests and peace, when they disobeyed, there was trouble in Israel, and the people experienced not only famine and disease, but were also overwhelmed by their enemies.

In America we can see the same. The unholy trio, Clinton, Bush, and Obama have brought this nation and its people down a crooked road to an imminent disaster of unknown proportions.

It seems to me that we should listen to Samuel who instructed King Saul: “Surely obeying is better than sacrifice.” (1 Samuel 15:22)

Netanyahu's Peace Plan

In his successful meeting with President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented a superb, workable peace plan backed by a wide Israeli consensus.

Those obsessed with whether Netanyahu would say the “two-state solution” mantra missed it.

In fact, though Netanyahu didn’t accept that framework precisely because he and his Labor party coalition partner are for peace.

If Netanyahu said “two-state solution” it would buy him moments of cheap praise. But then, experience shows, their attention would turn to just one theme only: getting Israel to make unilateral concessions and take dangerous risks.

In the conception of Netanyahu and Barak, the right kind of two-state solution is the only solution to the conflict. But how to ensure it does end the conflict rather than just make it bloodier and on worse terms for Israel?

Netanyahu made this clear in his joint press conference with Obama:

“Everybody in Israel, as in the United States, wants peace. The common threat we face are terrorist regimes and organizations that seek to undermine the peace and endanger both our peoples.”

The real question is how to get peace without strengthening radical forces; how to get a solution that doesn’t make things worse for Israelis and Palestinians? Netanyahu continued:

“We want to live in peace with them. We want them to govern themselves, absent a handful of powers that could endanger the state of Israel.”

Israel wants peace—it has more incentive for that than anyone. When Netanyahu says Israel wants the Palestinians to govern themselves, he isn’t talking about limited autonomy but in the context of a functioning peace agreement, which means a state. What are the “handful of powers?” Obviously, Hamas but it’s also a clear reference to influence and interference by Iran and Syria.

Why should Israel agree to any Palestinian state functioning as a base for destroying it?

He continues: “For this there has to be a clear goal…an end to conflict.” A definitive end of conflict agreement that the new framework ensures is key to any solution: two states not Round Two of the conflict. The Palestinian Authority has rejected such a commitment for very obvious reasons: it hasn’t been ready to accept permanent peace even if it gets a state.

Both sides, Netanyahu continued, must make compromises: “We’re ready to do our share. We hope the Palestinians will do their share, as well.” To reach peace requires the Palestinian side to meet its commitments—which it has done far more rarely than Israel—and make concessions. This may seem obvious but is usually forgotten in Western policy and media coverage. President Obama did make this point about Palestinian obligations as well, more specifically than many observers seem to realize.

Read this carefully. To reach a peace agreement::

"The Palestinians will have to recognize Israel as a Jewish state; will have to also enable Israel to have the means to defend itself. And if...Israel’s security conditions are met, and there’s recognition of Israel’s...permanent legitimacy, then I think we can envision an arrangement where Palestinians and Israelis live side by side in dignity, in security, and in peace.”

Here is Netanyahu’s view of the two-state solution. If the Palestinians meet Israeli conditions—including the reasonable demand that Palestinian refugees be resettled in Palestine, not Israel--there can be a two-state outcome. Here, Netanyahu deliberately used Obama’s phrase in the end to make clear how he is defining his goal.

This is critical: a two-state solution is not a gift given at the start of negotiations but a reward for the proper compromises ensuring peace succeeds.

Netanyahu points out another deep-seated Israeli concern: A bad “solution” can make things far worse. Israel doesn’t want to end up with a Palestine that functions merely as “another Gaza.”

Why should anyone be confident this won’t happen? Wishful thinking or faith that being in power makes people moderate—an argument proven incorrect about Yasir Arafat and his colleagues almost twenty years ago?

“If, however,” says Netanyahu, “the Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish state, if they…fight terror, if they educate their children for peace and to a better future, then I think we can come at a substantive solution that allows the two people to live side by side in security and peace and I add prosperity, because I’m a great believer in this.”

He’s right. What’s the point of a two-state solution which could easily:

--Make Palestine a radical state tied to Iran and Syria.

--Leave the Gaza Strip in Hamas’s hands which means, in effect, a three-state solution. Short of a U.S.-led multinational invasion force—rather unlikely—there’s no way Gaza can be included in a peace agreement with Israel. Talking about a two-state solution while the Palestinian Authority doesn’t even control Gaza is unconnected to reality.

--Creates a Palestine in which all schools, mosques, and media teach Palestinians that all Israel is theirs and they must conquer it, a Palestine full of incitement to violence inspiring hundreds to become terrorists, thousands to help them, and hundreds of thousands to support them. In some respects, this describes the Palestinian Authority today, despite its real efforts to limit cross-border attacks.

--Sets off a new cross-border war, with Palestine’s government and security forces either looking the other way or actively assisting terrorists.

--Creates a Palestine that invites in Iranian, Syrian, or other armies, or obtains missiles from them targeted at Israeli cities.

--Extends the conflict another generation by using the state as base for a “second stage” to finish off Israel.

Israel has good reason, based on the 1990s’ peace process experience, to believe its own risks and concessions won’t be reciprocated and that U.S. and European promises of support in that event won’t be kept.

And so Netanyahu and his country says: Peace? Certainly! But only if it’s real, lasting, and stable, making things better rather than worse: a real two-state, not big-mistake, solution

What Are You Going To Do About It?

First of all, - I don’t like politics.

However, I observe what is happening in America.

It used to a country ruled by two main parties: Democrats and Republicans. For a few years the USA would have a Democratic president, then a Republican one. Somehow they always managed to compromise peacefully on their most important issues.

This all changed with the last election. All of a sudden the whole country is ruled unilaterally by Democrats. Republicans who object to his government are now branded as enemies. As a matter of fact, anyone who objects to this president is being now an enemy to the Obama government.

What is the big dividing issue? Most of it has to do with moral values.

1. Republicans don’t believe in murdering unborn babies and support heterosexual marriages. (Adam and Eve! Not Adam and Steve!) Republicans are anti-ABORTION while Democrats favor abortion and homosexuality. Republicans oppose same-sex MARRIAGE while democrats support it. Republicans feel that a good FAMILY background is important. Democrats seek to destroy the foundation of the family.

2. Republicans support the freedom to BEAR ARMS. This gives law abiding citizens the opportunity to protect themselves. Republicans favor a strong MILITARY to protect its citizens. Democrats want strict gun laws so that their citizens are "Powerless". This works toward their ultimate goal of socialism/ communism. Democrats want to downsize our military leaving us at the mercy of countries like China and Russia.

3. Republicans want a smaller federal GOVERNMENT with the power in the hands of its citizens. Democrats want a large and controlling government who seek to exploit us for their benefit

4. Republicans see FLAG burning as unacceptable. Democrats along see this as freedom of expression.

5. Democrats are running up crushing federal debt at a level unprecedented in American history. We are talking trillions upon trillions of dollars in debt. This ensures the future will bring ruinous taxes, runaway inflation, or eventual financial collapse. Obama is lending aid, money, and support to tyrannies and terrorists. From getting chummy with Hugo Chavez to releasing dangerous GITMO terrorists to handing almost a billion dollars to Palestinian terrorists, Obama has yet to meet a terrorist or tyrant he doesn’t seem to like.

Watch out, your freedom in America is on decline. Object as long as you still can. Free speech is about to be snuffed.

Shouldn’t G-D’s will be the only important issue? Isn’t He the one who created the universe and gave the Jews the 10 commandments ? Wouldn’t we be better off heading His advice?

If you want to endure the consequences of your rejection of His rules, - go for it. But as for me and my house, we shall serve the L-rd. (Josh: 24.15)

Who is a Settler?

There many words to describe the spectacular northeastern corner of Oregon. (Paradise, beautiful, breathtaking, incredible.) The snow-capped mountains around Wallowa Lake are Oregon’s “Little Switzerland”. The rich history of the region is forever connected to the story of Chief Joseph and the Nez Percé (Pierced Nose) Indians.

"Chief Joseph" was born in the Wallowa Valley in 1840. He was given the name “Hin-mah-too-yah-lat-kek”t, or “Thunder Rolling Down the Mountain”, but he was widely known as Joseph, or Joseph the Younger, because his father had taken the Christian name Joseph when he became a Christian. - If you ever lived in the mountains, you know that the sound of thunder grows as it echoes from the mountains.

While initially hospitable to the region's newcomers, Joseph the Elder grew weary when settlers wanted more Indian lands. Tensions grew as the settlers appropriated traditional Indian lands for farming and grazing livestock. The “settlers” were mostly Europeans, who forcibly took the land from the native Indians.

With 2,000 U.S. soldiers in pursuit, Joseph and other Nez Percé chiefs led 800 Nez Percé toward freedom at the Canadian border. For over three months, the Nez Percé outmaneuvered and battled their pursuers traveling 1,700 miles (2,740 km) across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. General Howard, leading the opposing cavalry, was impressed with the skill with which the Nez Percé fought, using advance and rear guards, skirmish lines, and field fortifications. Finally, after a devastating five-day battle during freezing weather conditions with no food or blankets, Chief Joseph formally surrendered to General Nelson Appleton Miles on October 5, 1877 in the Bear Paw Mountains of the Montana Territory, less than 40 miles (60 km) south of Canada in a place close to the present-day Chinook in Blaine County. The battle is remembered in popular history by the words attributed to Chief Joseph at the formal surrender:

"Tell General Howard I know his heart. What he told me before; I have it in my heart. I am tired of fighting. Our chiefs are killed; Looking Glass is dead, Too-hul-hul-sote is dead. The old men are all dead. It is the young men who say yes or no. He who led on the young men is dead. It is cold, and we have no blankets; the little children are freezing to death. My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food. No one knows where they are—perhaps freezing to death. I want to have time to look for my children, and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever."

In his last years, Joseph spoke eloquently against the injustice of United States policy toward his people and held out the hope that America's promise of freedom and equality might one day be fulfilled for Native Americans as well. An indomitable voice of conscience for the West, he died in 1904, still in exile from his homeland, according to his doctor "of a broken heart."

According to the dictionary a settler is someone who settles in new land, like the Europeans in America.

The story made me think of Israel today. - Why are Jews called “settlers” in Israel? Didn’t they simply return to their own country? They didn’t conquer new land that never belonged to them before. They simply returned to their ancient homeland.

Wouldn’t that make anyone else who lived there and conquered their land a settler?

Who is a "settler" in the Mideast? According to the Arabs, only Jews are "settlers." But that simply is not true. Think about it! Arafat himself was born in Egypt. He later moved to Jerusalem. While he was living in the West Bank, he was a "settler" there, not a native.

Indeed, most of the Arabs living within the borders of Israel today have come from some other Arab country at some time in their life. Aren’t they the "settlers"?

Eat fresh, eat kosher: Subway the largest U.S. kosher restaurant chain

Mendy’s? Six branches, seven if you count the meat and dairy counters at New York City's Grand Central Station.

Dougie’s? Five branches in New York and New Jersey.

Don’t even bring up Nathan’s Famous -- it stopped making kosher hot dogs altogether.

The dark-horse winner is Subway, the made-to-order sandwich giant poised to open its ninth kosher franchise Aug. 18 inside the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center in North Miami Beach, Fla. New Subways opening in Indianapolis and Skokie, Ill., will make it 11 by the end of the year. Five more are planned for next year.

Subway is not the only fast-food chain with kosher branches. Dunkin’ Donuts, the world's largest coffee and baked goods chain, has 33 kosher franchises, mostly in New York, according to company spokesman Andrew Mastrangelo. They serve dairy breakfast sandwiches, but not full meals.

Subway, the second largest fast-food franchise in the world, didn’t set out to be No. 1 in the kosher market. Staffers at company headquarters in Milford, Conn., seemed bemused by the news.

“Really?” laughed Kevin Kane in the marketing department.

Sure, 11 kosher stores pales in comparison to the 22,000 non-kosher Subways in the United States, or to the hundreds of halal Subways in England and the Arab world. But it’s more than anyone else is offering.

And it’s a creative solution for Jewish community centers that want to offer kosher food but don’t want to take the financial risk themselves. Some would rather offer no food than violate kosher law.

“There are very few JCCs that run successful food establishments,” says Eric Koehler, director of the JCC of Northern Virginia, which has never provided food services in its building. “In this economy, it doesn’t make sense to have something that loses $20,000 to $30,000 a year.”

That’s why the Mandel JCC in Cleveland rented space to the country’s first kosher Subway in May 2006. The center had offered only kosher dining options since it opened in 1986, but none lasted very long. When Michael Hyman arrived in 2004 as the center’s new director, he closed the building’s last struggling cafe without knowing whether he could replace it.

In stepped Ghazi Faddoul, a Lebanese Christian who had opened 100 Subways in Cleveland and was willing to give kosher a try with the clout of a global chain behind him.

Ham and bacon were removed from the menu, the “cheese” is made of soy, and the Seafood Sensation sandwich is filled with imitation crab. Two microwaves and toaster ovens ensure that fish and meat are kept separate, a consideration for more observant Jews. There is a full-time mashgiach, or kosher supervisor, and the restaurant is closed on Shabbat.

“It’s been wildly successful,” Hyman says.In June, the JCC of Greater Washington in Rockville, Md., picked up on Cleveland’s experience, opening a kosher Subway in a space formerly filled by a kosher Dunkin’ Donuts. Executive director Michael Feinstein says the center has been getting much more foot traffic since it opened, particularly from Orthodox Jews.

“There aren’t that many kosher restaurants in the D.C. area, so it’s nice for the community to have this option,” Feinstein says. “And it’s great for us because it gets people into our building who might not otherwise be there.”

The Miami Beach JCC also looked to Cleveland’s example. The center’s director, Gary Bomzer, notes that the building already has an in-house kosher caterer, but no sit-down restaurant.

“Bringing in a national chain gives us real credibility,” he explains. “A brand name like Subway provides more than a cup of coffee.”

The remaining kosher Subways are freestanding stores: two in New York City, in Brooklyn and Queens, as well as one in Cedarhurst in the city's Long Island suburbs; and one each in Los Angeles, Baltimore and Kansas City.

The U.S. stores are the only kosher Subways. Israel opened the world’s first kosher Subway in 1992 but the operation, which reached 23 stores at its peak, shut down in 2004 after the original manager died.

Subway spokesman Les Winograd says the company used its experience with halal, the Muslim standard, to learn how to deal with kashrut challenges such as sourcing specific meat and following strict dietary laws. The first halal Subway opened in Bahrain in 1984, followed by branches in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Tanzania, Zambia and other countries with large Muslim communities. England alone has nearly 60 halal branches.

Kosher Subways are more difficult to keep open, Winograd says. Some open and shut, like one that lasted for about a year in Livingston, N.J., and a Wall Street branch that closed last winter when the economy collapsed.

While Winograd receives lots of inquiries from potential franchise owners in other countries who are interested in the kosher option, none have panned out.

“The population has not always been there to support the business,” he says.

Subway serves meat, so a kosher store requires full-time kosher supervision -- an extra expense added to ingredients that already cost more than their non-kosher equivalents.

Maurice Lichy, owner of the new Miami JCC Subway, says he’s trying to keep his prices “competitive” and hopes to charge no more than $1.50 extra per sandwich.

Will he offer a kosher $5 Footlong?

Lichy hesitates.

“No," he says, "but I’ll try to manage a $6 Footlong. Probably tuna or turkey; not the corned beef.”

Exclusive: Chuck Norris challenges president to live up to promise of transparency

Dear Mr. President:

First, happy birthday. I do hope Aug. 4 is an enjoyable day for you and your family. Coincidentally, I also will be celebrating this week the birth of someone dear to me, my beloved wife, Gena, whose birthday is on Aug. 9.

Speaking of birthdays, I couldn't help but hear and read all over the news last week about the fresh attention to your constitutional eligibility and natural born citizen status. I can hardly believe that individuals are now offering bounty – one for $100,000 – for any personal witness or sufficient evidence to your American birth.

For nearly two years, this debate continues to grow despite all your administration's attempts to diffuse it. And those who are raising concerns aren't just those on the right, but moderate law-abiding citizens like a retired CIA officer who commissioned an investigator to look into the issue.

Still, your press secretary, Robert Gibbs, continues to glibly brush aside the issue by calling it "fictional nonsense." But, in so doing, he devalues the grievance passage of the First Amendment and insults those who are genuinely concerned and inquisitive by categorizing them all as political quacks. He needs to learn that you can't model tolerance for certain minorities while belittling and quarantining those who don't blindly follow your lead.

Believe it or not, I'm not writing you to challenge whether you were born in America, though I see nothing wrong with the American public voicing that constitutionally based grievance with someone in your esteemed position. As one blogger wrote, after all, "We aren't talking about a 12-year-old qualifying to play Little League here." Or as Ronald Reagan once said, "Trust but verify."

Personally, I must admit that I find it a bit of a groundless stretch not to believe in the birth announcements in two major Hawaiian newspapers in August of 1961, in which the Hawaiian Health Department would have been required to post information they received directly from hospitals: "Mr. and Mrs. Barack H. Obama, 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy., son, Aug. 4." Nevertheless, that proof still doesn't answer why you refuse to reveal your original birth certificate and end the growing tides of controversy.

I'm writing you because this is no longer a matter merely about proving a presidential prerequisite in the Constitution. Refusing to post a copy of your original birth certificate is an unwise political and leadership decision that is enabling the birther controversy. The nation you are called to lead is experiencing a growing swell of conspirators who are convinced that you are covering up something. So why not just prove them wrong and shut them up?

If the birther movement is truly full of a bunch of conspiracy-fringed kooks or "zombies," as the Los Angeles Times proclaims, then prove once and for all that you are a naturally born citizen by posting your original birth certificate. And all the controversy will fade away like the pains of childbirth.

I agree with CNN's Lou Dobbs, who was chastised by his own media outlet for demanding the release of your original birth certificate. So why is that such a bad request? We certainly know why CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein thought it was a bad idea: because he previously declared that CNN researchers determined that Obama's 1961 birth certificate no longer existed.

But Hawaii's officials confirmed again last week that they indeed have your original birth certificate on file. Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaiian State Department of Health, repeated her October 2008 statement that she had personally seen with her own eyes the "original vital records."

Some claim that even you cannot see or request your own personal birth certificate, because Hawai'i's disclosure law (Hawai'i Revised Statutes 338-18) states that "it shall be unlawful for any person to permit inspection of, or to disclose information contained in vital statistics records, or to copy or issue a copy of all or part on any such record ... "

But the law further states that the Health Department "shall not permit inspection of public health statistics records, or issue a certified copy of any such record or part thereof, unless it is satisfied that the applicant has a direct and tangible interest in the record." (Italics mine)

Isn't categorically satisfying constitutional requirements for a president, or answering the First Amendment grievances of hundreds of thousands of Americans, or ending a national debate or healing a country's divisions enough "direct and tangible interest"?

Mr. President, as more and more people realize that you are refusing to release your original birth certificate, further questions will fuel the fires of debate or at least hinder the embers from ever being snuffed out. Questions like, "Does it really contain the Hawaiian physician's name?" Or "Does it disclose something other than his birth place that he wishes others not to see?"

In fact, last week copies of the 1961 birth certificates from twin girls, who were born a day after you in the same Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital, give examples of those typical of the time. They include much more information than certificates today, like the baby's parents' ages, occupations, birthplaces, race, etc., as well as specifics of the medical personnel presiding over the baby's birth and the hospital in which he or she was born.

Of course not every U.S. citizen has access to their original birth certificate, but you do, and that's the only one under debate. As valuable as copies can be, textual critics know that nothing outweighs an original, especially when only it contains the information under question.

So again I ask, why don't you simply request, release and give permission to make public your original birth certificate?

Mr. President, you promised the American people that you are "committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government." In fact, on July 23 in your prime time press conference, you said that your administration was more transparent than those of previous presidencies: "I think that we have provided much greater transparency than existed prior to our administration coming in."

So again I ask, why not live out that transparency promise by posting your original birth certificate and end the division and debate?

Well, I have a birthday to plan, so I better get going.

Is This The Last Generation?

On August 1, 2009, Elliot Avrams wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal: “Why Israel is nervous”.He wrote: “The tension in U.S.-Israel relations was manifest this past week as an extraordinary troupe of Obama administration officials visited Jerusalem. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, National Security Advisor James Jones, special Middle East envoy George Mitchell and new White House adviser Dennis Ross all showed up in Israel’s capital in an effort to…well, to do something.” He went on to explain that the Obama administration has managed to win the mistrust of most Israelis, not just conservative politicians: “Despite his great popularity in many parts of the world, in Israel Obama is now seen as no ally. A June poll found that just 6% of Israelis called him “pro-Israel,” when 88% had seen President George W. Bush that way.”

Three years after Israel fought a bloody war in Lebanon against Hezbollah; there are growing fears that hostilities could erupt again this time with the militant group better armed than ever. According to Israeli, United Nations and Hezbollah officials, the Shia Muslim militia is today stronger than it was in 2006 when it took on the might of the Israeli army in a war that cost the lives of 1,191 Lebanese and 43 Israeli civilians. Hezbollah has stockpiled up to 40,000 rockets and is training its forces to use ground-to-ground missiles capable of hitting Tel Aviv and anti-aircraft missiles that could challenge Israel’s dominance of the skies over Lebanon.

There is also a new reality on the ground in Gaza; al-Qaeda has become so strong that they are now threatening Hamas over leadership of the Gaza Strip. In the past few days al-Qaeda assailants calling themselves “Jaljalat” attacked a wedding celebration in Gaza in the area of Khan Younes- one of the last strongholds of Fatah. In fact the wedding was within the family of Fatah strong man Mohammad Dahlan. There was shooting and throwing of grenades - wounding or killing over 70 of this family. What makes it so notable is that this is the largest operation al-Qaeda has perpetrated against the “Palestinian” people in Gaza. Keep in mind that in this Islamic environment the people are ruled by fear and the terrorist group that can instill the most of that is the one which will take control.
Again, don’t be confused. Although different Islamic groups may have strange names, but they all have the same goal: “To eliminate Israel and to kill you!”

In order to tighten their grip, the Hamas leaders in Gaza have now started what is known as “Modesty Patrols” and have passed a new law requiring that all women in Gaza keep their head covered with the “hijab”. No women can be seen in public with a man who is not a member of her family. These Islamic 'Modesty Patrols' are even stopping cars to check if a woman is with an unrelated man. - We are witnessing the takeover by Hamas and al-Qaeda of the minds and souls of the Arabs in Gaza - forcing them to accept Sharia law whilst establishing another Taliban society. And in all areas of public education the indoctrination of the young, inspiring them to become suicide bombers, continues apace - teaching that to kill a Jew reveals the highest form of love toward Allah.

Yet one US President after the other continues to insist that Israel must surrender its land to these evil people who hate them, and want to control the world.

The Islamic US President Hussein Obama even bowed before the Saudi prince and finds it convenient to accept the Saudi Peace Plan. These are the same Saudis who are promoting and financing the teaching of their brand of Wahhabi Islam in new mosques across the US. In doing so they are putting in place a “plan” that they believe is essential to the next stage in their terrorist scheme.

What Obama really wants is to finish what Bush started, which is to hand Israel over to the Islamic World.

As the world spins into total insanity, the only sane place to be is in God’s Kingdom.

"Hear O peoples and listen O earth!" (Micah 1:2)

Micah begins his message scroll with a divine warning to the whole earth. He ends it with a prediction of God's judgment on the nations (7:10, 13, 16-17). In both cases HaShem is calling the nations to focus in on what He is doing with the Jewish people – to bow the knee in humble recognition of their amazing and irrevocable calling, their tragic failures, and their earth-shaking last days restoration.

Today the world's largest Jewish community outside of Israel supports the official peace process and Middle Eastern policies of a serving American President, while less than 6% of Israeli Jews feel that this President's policies are good for the Jewish state (see Micah 3:5). Unless Israel's leaders back down from God's covenant promises regarding the Land of Israel in Genesis 12 and 15, they will face political pressure, shakings and times of trouble from Western governments.

It is biblically true that God has used worldwide anti-Semitism and the hatred of the nations to purify and restore Israel (as He did with Assyria in Isaiah 10:5-19; see also Micah 2:3). Yet the same Bible warns us that God judges those nations severely and by no means leave them unpunished in the process (see Amos 9:8).

One of God's last-days strategies is the regathering of the Jewish people to their own Promised Land. Though this restoration of the Jewish people to the land of Israel will incur the hatred of the nations in general and the military onslaught on the part of the Arab nations in particular (see Ezekiel 36:2-7; Psalm 83:2-12; Psalm 2),

Micah saw in a vision that at the end of days Israel will become the center of the world – spiritually and governmentally. Zion will become the world's capital city. The Moshiach will reign from a united Jerusalem as the ultimate Davidic King, and all nations will recognize these facts, coming in worship and blessing to the Mountain of Adonai. Divine patience counsels us that true peace will not be a Middle Eastern reality until that day.

In the meantime, we should remember that all Gentile peace plans, treaties and strategies (be they ever so well intentioned) will fall by the political roadside on the way up to Jerusalem.

"The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations … like a young lion among flocks of sheep” (Micah 5:8-9)

The prophet says that, at the end of days, military victory will be granted to Israel. She will be the unchallenged international superpower in the Middle East. At what exact point-in-time this will happen may not be crystal clear in Scripture (see Zech. 13:8-14:2 etc), but it this future reality is the prophetic word of the Lord. Israel as God's victorious army is a mighty theme in the Bible, and it is the pinnacle of Ezekiel's vision of the dry bones (Ezek. 37:9-11; Psalm 110:3; Micah 4:11-13). "Do not gloat over me, my enemy!" (Micah 7:8)

Micah warns those who believe that God has abandoned His Jewish people – or even those who do not believe that the God of Israel exists – that Israel's present problems will not last forever. God will soon rescue His people from the anger and hatred of the nations. At that point there will be a major reversal of historical roles – Israel's enemies will experience the fate they had tried to inflict on the people of Jacob, while the Jewish people will finally see their enemies defeated forever.

Massive Quake Pushes New Zealand Closer to Australia

WELLINGTON — A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake last week has moved the south of New Zealand closer to Australia, scientists said Wednesday.

With the countries separated by the 2,250-kilometre-wide (1,400-mile-wide) Tasman Sea, the 30 centimetre (12 inch) closing of the gap in New Zealand's southwest won't make much difference.

But earthquake scientist Ken Gledhill of GNS Science said the shift illustrated the huge force of the tremor, the biggest in the world so far this year.

"Basically, New Zealand just got a little bit bigger is another way to think about it," he told AFP.

While the southwest of the South Island moved about 30 centimetres closer to Australia, the east20coast of the island moved only one centimetre westwards, he said.

The biggest quake in New Zealand in 78 years caused only slight damage to buildings and property when it struck the remote southwest Fiordland region of the South Island last Thursday.

A small tsunami was generated by the earthquake, with a tide gauge on the West Coast of New Zealand recording a wave of one metre.

"For a very large earthquake, although it was very widely felt, there were very few areas that were severely shaken," Gledhill said.

Aerial inspection of the forested fiords near the quake's epicentre showed few land slips or other signs of damage.

This was partly because the type of rupture at the boundaries of the Australian and Pacific plates meant the energy from the quake was largely directed westwards towards the sea rather than inland towards the nearest towns.

The type of quake, known as a subduction thrust rupture, also meant the quake produced lower frequency shaking, felt as a rolling motion, rather than sharp jolts which would have caused more damage.

New Zealand frequently suffers earthquakes because it marks the meeting point of the Australian and Pacific continental plates.

Gledhill said the latest quake may have brought forward a major quake on the offshore section of the Alpine fault, off the coast of Fiordland in the Tasman Sea.

"There could easily be another large earthquake in another part of that region. We can't predict that obviously."

The latest quake was the biggest since February 2, 1931 when a 7.8 quake killed at least 256 people in the North Island city of Napier.

The biggest quake recorded here measured 8.2 and caused major damage in 1855 in the fledgling European settlement that later became the capital Wellington.

The latest quake was unusual in striking right on the boundary of the Australian and Pacific plates and will be important in researching earthquake hazards, Gledhill said.

It seems we live today in the age of insanity. President Obama is trying to force Israel into a disastrous agreement with the Palestinians, the enemies of Israel. Last week, the UN Foreign Policy chief, Javier Solana had the audacity to propose that the United Nations unilaterally declare a Palestinian State.

The nations are sacrificing Israel in order to keep secure the favor of their oil-supplying Muslim oil barons. That is a complete betrayal of the founding purposes on which the UN was created.

The Muslim nations of the Middle East attacked Israel in June 1967 in an effort to annihilate it. Israel defeated them and re-captured the “West Bank” (Judea and Samaria) and Jerusalem. So since then, the so-called West Bank and East Jerusalem has been part of Israel by right of self-defense and conquest.

If you trace back to their beginnings, every Nation was founded upon land gained by conquest. The United States of America certainly was founded on that premise. They took land from the Indians, Mexicans, French and English.

However, there is a different set of rules the world wants to force upon Israel. In the case of the U.S. in particular and the Western Nations in general, these secular governments are much more concerned about keeping the oil supplying Muslim oil barons happy than backing Israel's just rights as a sovereign nation.

But there is another, more important factor. It is Israel’s solemn G-d-given Covenant in which God gave them the title deed to specific land to which He has returned them from a worldwide dispersion according to His promise.

Israel is the only nation on earth that has a title deed to their land from the Creator. Did you know that Israel doesn’t have a constitution? Why should it need one when it has a direct covenant with the Almighty?

This Creator has also sworn on oath that He will see that a believing remnant of Israel will have a nation on this land forever. And G-d has warned that all peoples that try to take it from them will be destroyed.

These are promises that are in many passages of the Word of God - not just in a few.

So President Obama beware, - as well as all the Muslim nations seeking to annihilate Israel!

The Great Solar Eclipse of 2009 - July 22!

On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, the moon will hide the face of the sun in the longest total solar eclipse in this 21st century. "It will be a monster, with a totality lasting more than 6.6 minutes at maximum," say Fred Espenak and Jay Anderson, writers for Sky & Telescope magazine.

It is interesting that three solar eclipses occur on each of three annual calendar dates introducing the Jewish month of Av for the years 2008, 2009, and 2010. The first eclipse occurred on August 1, 2008. The second solar eclipse is coming up this month — on July 22, 2009, and the third will happen on July 11, 2010. These dates vary in the Gregorian calendar, but occur on the same calendar date in the Jewish calendar — Av 1.

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon travels across the face of the sun, thus blocking out its sunlight. A "total" solar eclipse means that the moon is large enough (closer to Earth) to completely cover the surface of the sun, whereas, an "annular" solar eclipse means that the moon is farther away from Earth and appears smaller than the sun’s disk. A "partial" solar eclipse means that the moon only crosses part the sun’s surface, but does not completely block out its light. These three solar eclipses are "total" eclipses — last year in the far north, this year across the middle of Earth’s surface, and next year in the far south.

The solar eclipse last year (August 1, 2008) was seen in parts of the Arctic, Siberia, and central Asia. The second of these three solar eclipses will be coming up this month on July 22, 2009. Sky & Telescope magazine (December 2008) had a story about this solar eclipse, saying that it would be the longest eclipse of the century and would not be seen in this configuration again until 2132.

Fred Espenak and Jay Anderson, writers for Sky & Telescope said, "A total eclipse of the sun will cross China next summer. Unlike the eclipse last August, the one on July 22, 2009, will darken major cities, densely populated countryside, and a vast expanse of tropical ocean."

"The third total solar eclipse will happen on July 11, 2010, almost entirely over the South Pacific. Easter Island and southern Chile (at sunset) offer the only landfalls. The South Pacific is again the site of the next one, on November 13, 2010."

November 13, 2012 ... hmmm ... that’s in the fourth year of this Sabbatical cycle, near December 12, 2012, the final day in the Mayan calendar. Could these be heavenly signs?

The total solar eclipse this month will have a magnitude of 1.080 that will be visible from a narrow corridor through northern India, eastern Nepal, northern Bangladesh, Bhutan, the northern tip of Myanmar, central China and the Pacific Ocean, including Ryukyu Islands, Marshall Islands and Kiribati. Totality will be visible in many cities such as Surat, Varanasi, Patna, Thimphu, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Hangzhou and Shanghai. A partial eclipse will be seen from the much broader path of the Moon‘s penumbra, including most of South East Asia and north-eastern Oceania.

On Friday, August 1, 2008, a total eclipse of the Sun was visible from within a narrow corridor that traversed half the Earth. The path of the Moon’s umbral shadow began in Canada and extended across northern Greenland, the Arctic, central Russia, Mongolia, and China. A partial eclipse was seen within the much broader path of the Moon’s penumbral shadow, which included northeastern North America, most of Europe and Asia.

On Sunday, July 11, 2010, a third total eclipse of the Sun will be visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses Earth’s southern hemisphere. The path of the Moon’s umbral shadow will cross the South Pacific Ocean where it will make no landfall except for Mangaia (Cook Islands) and Easter Island (Isla de Pascua). The path of totality will end just after reaching southern Chile and Argentina. The Moon’s penumbral shadow will produce a partial eclipse visible from a much larger region covering the South Pacific and southern South America.

What is remarkable about these solar eclipses is the unusual way they occur on the Jewish calendar. There are several Scriptures that predict signs in the Sun and Moon around the time of the Tribulation Period. Isaiah wrote:

"Behold, the day of the L- RD cometh, ... the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.”

"And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible" (Isa. 13:9-11).

It is possible that solar and lunar eclipses over the next few years hold heavenly messages for mankind. They may be the biblical signs predicted for the Sun and Moon.

Netanyahu flatly rejected US demand to halt Jerusalem housing project.

Jerusalem is the "unified capital of Israel and the capital of the Jewish people, and sovereignty over it is indisputable," Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Sunday, responding to an American demand to put an end to a housing project to be built in east Jerusalem.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said the US demand was "odd."

"Thousands of Arab families build houses in Jerusalem, in the neighborhoods of Neve Yaakov and French Hill, and I've never heard any comment on the matter from the United States or Europe," Lieberman said. "I'm trying to put this delicately: It would be very strange if Jews were discriminated against in Jerusalem of all places, especially in light of the fact that it is not an isolated site; this is the heart of the city, very close to the Government Compound and Israel Police Headquarters."

According to the Torah, Israel is G-D's Land and Jerusalem His place of dwelling. What utter arrogance of an American President to tell the Israeli Prime Minister what to do.

Poverty Of The Soul

In our society, we tend to associate poverty with financial depravation.

But there is another poverty that is by far more devastating, and that is poverty of the soul, when a person doesn’t know who he is or from whence he has come.

When he lacks self esteem because he feels rootless and empty, he is suffering from poverty of the soul. In vain is such a person heir to a great fortune - his ignorance of his inheritance renders him a pauper. Such is the condition prevalent among many of our brethren nowadays. Descendants of Mamlechet Kohanim, a Kingdom of Priests; Goy Kadosh, a Holy Nation that stood at Sinai, they have no memory, no recollection of their past. Their G-d-given inheritance is unknown to them.

This spiritual deprivation holds sway throughout the world, but it is especially visible among our secular government leadership in Israel. The stakes are high, for if they live in ignorance of their Divine heritage, of the fact that it was G-d Himself, who granted them this land, then the very presence of our people in the land is at risk, and alas, that is exactly what has been happening.

But even those of us who are aware very often remain unaware. As dichotomous as this may sound, it is part of the reality of the machinations of the yetzer hora. We became oblivious of the obvious and take for granted that which is readily available. We no longer wonder at the miracle of having returned to the land, of standing in places where for centuries, our forefathers could only have dreamt of standing.

I remember interviewing many years ago for my TV program, Yosef Mendelovitch, a prisoner of conscience who had just been freed from the notorious Soviet prison system.

“Tell me,” I asked, “while you were sitting in the horrible darkness of solitary confinement, did you ever dream that you would be free again?”

“I never gave up hope, I never stopped dreaming,” came his immediate reply.
“Did you ever try to imagine the very first place that you would visit upon being
granted freedom?”

“Yes, I knew exactly where I would ask to go,” he answered without hesitation.”

“Could you tell me?”

“Hebron.”

“Hebron...” I repeated. The words shot out like a bolt of lightening, pierced the walls of the studio, spanned the centuries, and took us thousands of years back to our roots, to the cradle of our existence, to our patriarchs and matriarchs. Today, we can all go to Hebron - we can all pray at the grave sites of our holy ancestors...

Today we can all stand in the presence of the shechina, before the Wall in Jerusalem. Today, we can all breathe the air of our holy land, but somehow, we’ve lost it. We don’t feel the magic - We no longer have the vision. We have forgotten our royal past. As for our secular leadership, regarding them you can’t even say they forgot - they just never felt it.

Time and again, through this column and my speeches, I have posed a simple question to those who are our policy makers: If we have no right to Hebron, then by what right are we in Tel Aviv? This question has become especially poignant since the ill-fated Oslo accords, but amazingly, no one wakes up. No matter how many terrorist attacks Israel is subjected to our leadership continues to make suicidal concessions (and it doesn’t seem to matter who is in office, from the far left to the far right, they all fall prey to it).

On the very day that the horrific bus bombing took place in Jerusalem and innocent people were killed, seriously wounded and maimed, on that very day our leadership continued to negotiate with the murderers, releasing hundreds upon hundreds of terrorists with blood on their hands.

“What should Israel do?” you might ask. “After all, Israel has no option but to face reality and recognize a Palestinian state.”

We are a nation that lives by the laws of a different reality. Our reality stems from the Torah - from our G-d given destiny. But I’m not even going to discuss that, for our secular brethren scoff at such truths, so may I suggest that they deal with what they consider to be reality and heed the advice of a former PLO terrorist, Walid Shoebat. Through independent study of the Bible, Mr. Shoebat came to realize the error of his ways and now lectures to Jewish and non-Jewish audiences. In a recent address at the campus of the University of Toronto, he said, “Most Jews believe in a two-state solution. I do not believe in this. A Palestinian state will concoct its own rules and laws to continue the killing of Jews.” He suggested instead, that “Israel wake up and smell the Hummus. Israel must return to the status quo - the occupation. There were jobs then, people went to work and supported their families, and whoever got involved with terrorism was exiled or imprisoned. - like in any modern country in the world. I think Israel should stand strong and fight - dismantle Hamas and take away all the weapons, and return to the way it used to be. The introduction of weapons into Palestinian society by Israel (under the Oslo accords Israel gave assault rifles to Arafat’s police force) was a disaster and they must be confiscated. (The latest tragic bus bombing in Jerusalem was executed by one of these PLO policemen).

In describing what life in Judea and Samaria was prior to 1967, he said, “We did not particularly mind Jordanian rule. The teaching of the destruction of Israel was a definite part of the curriculum, but we considered ourselves Jordanian until the Jews returned to Jerusalem. Then, all of a sudden we were Palestinians - they removed the star from the Jordanian flag and all of a sudden we had a Palestinian flag.”

Shoebat feels very strongly that the ongoing war against Israel has nothing to do with an Arab desire for a Palestinian state. “Never in history was there a Palestinian state,” said Shoebat, “we’ve never wanted a Palestinian state - even today the Palestinians don’t want a Palestinian state”

“Then what do they want?” he was asked.

“They want the destruction of the Jews, period. It’s a religious holy war. It’s in the tradition, the culture. Arafat is a chip off the same block as Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, Ahmed Yassin - they are all birds of a feather, they have a small difference, but are birds of a feather.”

Asked what his message to the Jewish people today is, Shoebat thought for a moment and responded: “Your G-d is an awesome G-d and your land and your people are awesome. Hold tight and be strong. Do not be weakened by the nations of the world and all those trying to weaken you and take your land.”

Amazing words from a Muslim, and his story is equally amazing. Shoebat was a religious Muslim who grew up hating Jews. The first song he learned in school was, “Arabs are our beloved and Jews are dogs.” ‘I used to wonder who the Jews were,’ he confided, but he repeated the words with the rest of the kids without any knowledge of the meaning. As a Muslim, he was imbued with the prophecy of Mohamed, which foretold a battle in which the Holy Land would be recaptured and the elimination of the Jews would take place in a massive slaughter. ‘The day of judgment shall not come to pass until a tribe of Muslims defeat a tribe of Jews,’ it said, ‘in Jerusalem and the surrounding nations’.”

Shoebat became involved in various terrorist activities including Arafat’s Fatah group. He was indoctrinated to believe that the way to get to heaven and atone for his sins was to die fighting and killing Jews, and if he did, Allah would grant him a special place in heaven with beautiful women to fulfill his most secret wishes. He had been imprisoned in Israel for his terrorist activities, following which he came to the U.S. where he continued to be a PLO activist. His change of heart occurred when he married his Christian wife who challenged him to prove his Islamic belief that Jews corrupted the Bible and were prophet killers. In response, he obtained his first copy of the Bible to demonstrate to his wife the lies and corruptions for which the Jews were responsible. It was then that he saw the light and realized that it was he who had been fed a pack of lies, and the land was the G-d given inheritance of the Jewish people.

Shoebat expressed deep regret over his past which caused him to be branded a traitor among his own people and compelled him to go into hiding. Nevertheless, he is on a mission, determined not only to warn the Jewish people against the dangers of negotiating with Arabs, but he also feels the urgency of speaking out among his own people. “My dream is to go to the prisons where I used to be - Ramallah prison, Muskavit prison - whatever prison - to go there and say ‘hey, there is a different way you can live from the way Yassir Arafat and Ahmed Yassin are brainwashing you to believe. I want to debate them and tell them why there are not 72 virgins waiting for them in the heavens, or any of the other garbage that is being taught in their schools.”

Shoebat urges his Jewish audiences to take back the Land. “You are G-d’s people. It belongs to you.”

How sad it is that it is strangers who have to remind us of that - alas, poverty of the soul.

Israel is rotting in politics. So must it be before Israel’s eventual ascendancy as a light unto the nations. The seed must rot before the flower emerges.

One does not have to be a political scientist to smell the odor of politics. Political scientists merely affirm the commonplace when they define politics as a struggle for power, a lust for self-aggrandizement. We all know that this lust is couched in honorific terms, like “democracy” or “peace” or the “common good.” We know that politicians manipulate the unwary, mislead them by spin or misleading language—even outright mendacity. We see this in America, we see this in Israel.

Although democracy doesn’t have a monopoly of disinformation, money and the mass media have trashed Jeffersonian democracy, which was supposed to foster reason and rational debate. America has lost its bearings. What about Israel?

Unlike America, founded on Judeo-Christian ideas and values, Israel was founded on a truncated form of Zionism—“secular” Zionism. But Zionism can’t be secular without eviscerating original “Zion,” which involves three interrelated ideas: (1) the People of Israel, (2) the Land of Israel, and, most emphatically (3) the Torah of Israel. This third idea had no role in the reestablishment of the State of Israel. It may well be argued that the founders of the state, who wanted to create a “new Jew,” wanted to relegate Judaism not merely to the home and the synagogue, but to the dust heap of history.

Indeed, if Israel had as its leaders, when the Second Temple was destroyed, secular Zionists like David Ben-Gurion, Shimon Peres, and Binyamin Netanyahu, the Jewish people would have become as extinct as the dodo. No serious person will dispute the fact—affirmed even by Ben-Gurion—that it was the Torah that preserved the Jewish people during two thousand years of dispersion, torture, and decimation.

Nevertheless, the secularists Zionists—mostly socialists—who founded the State of Israel thought they could dispense with the Torah. We see the results: their political descendants—not only the “post-Zionists”—are willing to abandon Israel’s heartland, Judea and Samaria, as well as the 300,000 Jews who live on this land. Hence, they are willing to amputate the first and second ideas of “Zion”!

Still, one sometimes hears voices from the “Right,” including the Likud Party, that deplore the abandonment of Zionism, without realizing that this began with the abandonment of the Torah. It’s important to recognize that secular Zionism died some sixteen years before Prime Minister Netanyahu buried it at Bar-Ilan University, once a stronghold of religious Zionism.

Politics in Israel is therefore devoid of any ideology, of any distinctively Jewish national goal. This can be most promising, provided Israel awakens to the fact that the death of Zionism is a logical consequence of the flawed foundations of the State. As mentioned on previous occasions, and as may be seen in the first sentence of its Declaration of Independence, Israel’s reestablishment was based on the territorial nationalism of nineteenth-century Europe—Europe, where the nation-state is succumbing to the multiculturalism and internationalism also manifested by post-Zionism! Irony of ironies, this is why a secularist like Netanyahu supports the territorial surrender involved in the “two-state solution” initiated by post-Zionist Shimon Peres.

Let us not despair. Israel is shedding what was at best a make-shift ideology—the secular Zionism that contributed to Israel’s physical redemption. Needed is Israel’s spiritual redemption, and this is coming. Never has there been so many Jews returning to the Torah; never so many yeshivas. A veritable renascence is taking place in the study of Jewish law, revealing its great rationality and relevance.

Meanwhile, a convergence of science and Torah has been taking place with every advance in astronomy, physics, and molecular biology. “The Science of God” is the title of two books; “God and the new cosmology” the title of another; “God and the new physics” still another. Michael Denton’s Evolution: A Theory in Crisis refuted Richard Dawkins’ The God Delusion twenty years before that tract of Darwinian fundamentalism was published. But this is not all.

Consider what is happening in the United States. At last the U.S. has a president that dispels the stultifying illusion that Israel’s salvation depends on America. This will prompt more Jews to turn to God.

But what about that bizarre pro-Muslim president? That a man long associated with anti-American malcontents and scoundrels, a man who, according to Islamic law is a Muslim—and, so far as we know, he may not even be an American—that this man was elected president of the United States signifies that democratic politics is intellectually and morally bankrupt and that America—short of a spiritual revolution—is approaching its nadir as a Judeo-Christian nation.

America was the model of mankind. Its decline is a precondition for the eventual ascendancy of Israel. This will be hastened by Islamism, whose spearhead is Iran. Iran’s threat to “wipe Israel off the map” should be understood not simplistically as a manifestation of Jew-hatred but as a dim foreboding—now of universal scope—that the future belongs to Israel.

(AGI) – Sana’a, 15 Jun. – There has been a massacre of tourists in the Yemen: the bodies of seven foreign tourists who were kidnapped on Thursday in the north of the country have been found not far from the city of Saada. Two children who were part of the group have been found alive. According to tribal and government sources, the victims were shot dead. They were part of a group visiting Saada: a German doctor with his wife and three children and two German nurses, a British engineer and his wife, and a South Korean teacher.

SAN'A, Yemen (AP) — Three German women abducted in a group of foreigners last week in Yemen were found dead early Monday, their bodies mutilated, a Yemeni security official said.

Shepherds roaming the area found the women's remains in the mountainous northern Saada province near the town of el-Nashour, known as a hideout for al-Qaida militants, the official said. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak to the media.

The three women were among a group of nine foreigners, including seven Germans, abducted Friday in the remote area. The Interior Ministry said the foreigners, who were not identified by name, were kidnapped while on a picnic north of the capital, San'a.

In Berlin, the Foreign Ministry said it could not confirm the reports that the Germans had been killed. A spokesman, speaking on customary condition of anonymity, said that a ministry crisis team and the German embassy in San'a were working together to try and get more details.

Yemeni authorities said the group included a German doctor, his wife and their three children, as well as a Briton and his South Korean wife and two other German nationals. They were all working in a hospital in Saada, the state news agency said.
South Korea's Foreign Ministry identified their national by her family name, Eom, and said she is a 34-year-old aid worker in Yemen.

The killing of hostages is not common in Yemen, where tribesmen often kidnap foreigners to press the government on a range of demands, including a ransom, but usually release them unharmed.

A tribal leader in the area, who also spoke on condition of anonymity for the same reason as the security official, blamed al-Qaida for the Friday abduction and the killing.

In March, four South Korean tourists in Yemen died in an apparent suicide bombing blamed on al-Qaida.

Earlier, the Yemeni government had accused a local Saada rebel group, led by Abdel Malak al-Hawthi, but the group issued a statement saying it has not been involved in any abductions of foreigners.

Thousands of people have been killed in Saada, which lies near the border with Saudi Arabia, since a Shiite rebellion erupted there in June 2004. The rebels say the government is corrupt and too closely allied with the West. The rebels negotiated a fragile cease-fire with the government last year, but serious tension remains
Yemen, the ancestral homeland of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, had long been a haven for Islamic militants and was the scene of the October 2000 suicide bombing of the USS Cole that killed 17 American sailors.

Yemen is also the Arab world's poorest nation — and one of its most unstable — making it fertile territory for al-Qaida to set up camp.

Obama Will Not Make a Difference

Barack Obama is undoubtedly a good orator and a charismatic figure. These two traits have certainly helped him get elected as president of the United States of America.

Islamic terrorism and a severe global economic crisis added impetus to his success. Rhetorically talented and charismatic figures usually flourish in crises.

But will rhetoric and charisma help Mr. Obama succeed at home and in the Middle East?

I doubt it. Unless Obama calls a spade a spade, he will fail. Unless he calls things by their real name with regard to the Middle East, he will fail. Unless he uses the language of Ronald Reagan, Obama will never succeed - especially as far as Islamic terror is concerned.

Instead of highlighting the root causes of Islamic terrorism and lack of democracy in the Middle East, Obama repeats himself ad nauseum. He advocates that America become partners and dialogue with Muslims. America no longer wants to impose its values on the rest of the world. He also uses aphorisms like, "Democracy brings peace and prosperity to all of us."

Had Western leaders during the Cold War confined themselves to general rhetoric with regard to Communism, the Berlin Wall would have stayed and the Soviet Union would have survived until now.

Obama must address the root causes of Islamic terror and the lack of freedom and human rights in the Middle East and Islamic societies if he wants to make a difference.

Obama must speak loudly and specifically. He should tell his audience in Cairo and elsewhere:

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia: Stop preaching hatred, violence. Stop practicing oppression, and discrimination against women. Introduce democracy and freedom of expression. Close down those mosques and madrassas that preach fanaticism. Stop exporting Wahhabism and fanaticism. Scrap those school books which incite to hatred and violence against non-Muslims. Allow religious freedom, and let Christians, Jews and followers of other faiths build their own temples and practice their own religion, as you are allowed to do so in other countries. Introduce democracy and freedom of expression. Stop oppressing women. We are not living in the Middle Ages.

Mr. Hosni Mubarak, President of Egypt, release all those political prisoners who demand democracy and human rights. Stop prosecuting them. Establish real democracy and free media. Stop confining freedom of expression. Stop prosecuting bloggers who criticize your regime. Stop prosecuting religious reformers. Fight for power through democracy and fair play.

King Abdullah of Jordan: Stop cementing your police state. Release all those political prisoners. Stop squandering our aid of billions of dollars on your palaces, luxury yachts and motorcycles. Invest the money in development projects and create jobs for the poor.

Hamas leaders: Scrap your charter in which you call for wiping out Israel. This is barbaric and there is no place for barbaric people on this Earth.

Arab and Muslim leaders: protect those scholars who call for religious freedom and modern interpretation of Islam. Stop those fanatic chaplains from preaching fanaticism.

That is the kind of specific language and content which Mr. Obama should use in his speech in Cairo. Had Mr. Obama spoken clearly and straightforwardly he would encourage people to demand political and religious freedom and isolate radical Muslims. Radical Muslims are emboldened because they are tolerated by Arab and Muslim regimes, and the West is unspecific and inactive.

Mr. Obama, and for that matter most Western leaders, are hypocritical. While they incessantly demand the release of Aung San Suu Kyi in Burma, they never demand the release of political prisoners in the Arab world. They never criticize "friendly:" Arab regimes for lack of democracy and abuse of human rights. Obama avoids being specific in relation to Arab regimes. As a matter of fact, he contradicts himself. While he always repeats that he wants to help Muslims build democratic societies, he defended totalitarian regimes like the Saudi and the Egyptian ones in interviews with BBC (June 1, 2009) and French media (June 2, 2009).

When Justin Webb from BBC asked Obama what he thought of the authoritarian regime of Egyptian President Mubarak, Obama said that he did not like to use such "labels". Then he defended Mubarak and argued that the man is a "force of stability". In other words, democracy and freedom must be sacrificed for the sake of "stability".

Webb also asked President Obama about human rights abuse in Egypt. According to Amnesty International, there are thousands of political prisoners in Egypt. "Oh, well, there are thousands of political prisoners around the world." Obama said, and added, "It is not our job to lecture on human rights."

Later in the interview with BBC, Obama said, "Action is required, not words." But obviously this does not apply to the Arab world. He wants "to open a dialogue with Muslims to remove misapprehensions on both sides." Obama added, after 9/11, the level of misapprehension has increased.

Oh, 9/11 is simply a "misapprehension"! To add insult to injury, Obama added, "There are cultural differences between us and the Muslim world, and we must understand these differences." Besides, "There are many Muslims who live among us, and that makes us part of the Muslim world."

So 9/11 and all the terror launched by Islamic jihadists is due to "cultural differences" and misunderstanding of these differences? The free world "misunderstands" the Islamic culture of hatred and violence?

The question is, Mr. President, who is rejecting whom? Who is inciting to hatred and violence? Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Bahais? It is Muslims, their Koran and their Hadith.

In his recent interview with French media, Obama also defended Saudi Arabia, the worst despotic and fanatic regime in modern history. He commended Saudi Arabia for being a loyal strategic ally of pivotal importance for the West.

My Saudi friends tell me that the totalitarian regimes in Burma and elsewhere are actually paradise compared to life in Saudi Arabia, which lacks all kinds of basic human rights. Obama’s defense of Saudi Arabia is music to the ears of King Abdullah and his clan. They can relax and carry on their totalitarian rule. The most important power in the world approves.

Bowing to the Saudi king, the way Obama did in London, and talking about Saudi Arabia like that is suspicious. I suspect that he received millions of dollars, directly or indirectly, during his presidential campaign. The Saudis are very good at that. They bribe influential people to keep them quiet.

On the other hand, how come Obama was so specific as far as Israel is concerned? He urged the Israeli government to stop building settlements in the West Bank, but failed to urge Hamas to stop its terrorist attacks and its denial of Israel's right to exist.

Obama's address at Cairo University on June 4, 2009, I am sure, will be rhetoric-filled speech that is void and unspecific.

Obama is maybe a good orator, but as a politician he will fail - in particular, in the Middle East.

There was a time when Barack Hussein Obama wasn't eager to highlight his ties to Islam. Just a year ago, he was a presidential candidate trying to counter false Internet rumors that he was a Muslim as he sought the support of American voters.

Today however, Hussein Obama is the U.S. president and his audience is bigger and more diverse: a world that includes 1.5 billion Muslims.

On Thursday, Obama sought common ground with Muslims by tracing personal links to Islam throughout his life as he laid out his vision for a strengthened relationship between America and followers of that faith.

President Hussein Obama delivered his landmark speech to the Islamic world quoting the Koran and emphasizing his Islamic roots by mixing religion and policy to bring great words of appeasement to the Islamic world.

He said "I am a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims. As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the Azaan at the break of dawn and the fall of dusk. As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith. . .That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn't. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear."

And, he quoted from the Quran as he issued a greeting of peace, saying "Assalaamu alaykum."

President Obama finished his whirlwind tour of Islamic dictatorships. He received golden gifts and gave, in exchange, golden complements, saying of Saudi King Abdullah, "I've been struck by his wisdom and graciousness" as well as "his generosity". The President spoke with reporters before touching down in Saudi Arabia, declaring that he "thought it was very important to come to the place where Islam began and to seek His Majesty's counsel". – Remember, this president of the United States just recently bowed to the Saudi King in England?

Hussein Obama’s Islamic ties go back to his schooling in a Jakarta “Madrassa.” Both his father and stepfather are Muslim, and Sarah Hussein Obama of Kenya, Obama’s step-grandmother, is a lifelong Muslim. According to Islam, anyone who willingly submits to the will of Allah is a Muslim. And while Obama may not identify as a Muslim, he may not know not how the Arabs and Muslims see it. - In Arab culture and under Islamic law, if your father is a Muslim, so are you. And once a Muslim, always a Muslim. You cannot go back. In Islamic eyes, Obama is certainly a Muslim. He may think he's a Christian, but they do not.

You may object that millions of Muslims today leave Islam and convert to the Christian faith. But according to Shariah law, whoever critiques Muhammad is an enemy of Islam, and thus deserves the death penalty. Regardless of whether the Muslim embraces Christianity (as is happening today with millions of the Indonesians) or becomes an atheist, Islamic law declares that he must be killed. Also, anyone who rejects any of the basic ordinances of Islam or insults the prophet or the Qur'an (as Salman Rushdie did) will be regarded as an apostate and must be killed. – Have you ever asked yourself why do Muslims not object to Obama’s Christianity????

Obama went on saying during his speech, that all of us have a responsibility to work for the day when "the Holy Land of three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed (peace be upon them) joined in prayer." This man claims to be a Christian, yet promotes a Quranic story that Moses, Jesus and Mohammed were together in prayer.

Sura Al-Isra (Arabic: سورة الإسراء, Sūratu al-Isrā, "The Night Journey"), also called Sura Bani Isra'il (ie Children of Israel), is the 17th chapter of the Qur'an, with 111 verses. This Surah takes its name from the first verse, which tells the story of the Isra and Mi'raj, the transportation of Muhammad during the night to what is referred to as "the farthest Mosque". The location of this mosque is not explicitly stated in the Qur'an, although in Islamic Hadith this is commonly taken to be the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The story of Isra begins with Muhammad (570–632) resting in the Kaaba in Mecca, when the archangel Gabriel comes to him, and brings him the winged horse Buraq, the traditional lightning steed of the prophets. The Buraq then carries Muhammad to the "farthest mosque". Muhammad alights, tethers Buraq, and leads other prophets in prayer. He then re-mounts the Buraq, and in the second part of the journey, the Mi'raj, is taken to the heavens, where he tours the circles of heaven, and speaks with the earlier prophets such as Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, and then is taken by Gabriel to Allah. Allah instructs Muhammad that Muslims must pray fifty times a day; however, Moses tells Muhammad that it is very difficult for them and they could never do it, and urges Muhammad to go back several times and ask for a reduction, until finally it is reduced to five times a day.

This story has however no evidence. It was established by other companions of Muhammad. Although some accounts describe the Prophet as having visited Al-Aqsa mosque, this is an anachronism since Al-Aqsa was only built many years after the ”Prophet's” death.

After Muhammad returned to Earth and told his story in Mecca, the unbelieving townspeople regarded it as absurd. Some went to Muhammad's companion Abu Bakr and told him, "Look at what your companion is saying. He says he went to Jerusalem and came back in one night." Abu Bakr in reply, told them, "If he said that, then he is truthful. I believe him concerning the news of the heavens — that an angel descends to him from the heavens. How could I not believe he went to Jerusalem and came back in a short period of time — when these are on earth?" It was for this that Abu Bakr is said to have received his famous title "Us-Siddiq", The Truthful.

Ahmad Muhammad 'Arafa, a columnist for the Egyptian weekly Al-Qahira, which is published by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, wrote an article rejecting the established Islamic belief that the Prophet Muhammad's celebrated "Night Journey" (Koran 17:1) took him from Mecca to Jerusalem. 'Arafa, presenting a new analysis of the Koranic text, asserts that the Night Journey in Surat Al-Isra' (that is, "the Sura of the Night Journey") in the Koran does not refer to a miraculous journey from Mecca to Jerusalem, but to the Prophet's emigration (Hijra) from Mecca to Medina.
This would seem more logical to me also, since Mecca and Medina were always were Islam’s holy places.

Jerusalem is never mentioned in the Qur'an,

yet, it is mentioned 823 times in the Bible, and Zion (which usually means Jerusalem, and sometimes "the Land of Israel"), appears 161 times. Of the 823 mentions of Jerusalem by name in the Bible, 669 of them are in the Old Testament, and 154 times in the New Testament.

Please tell me how Jerusalem became a holy place for Islam?

Do you feel the ice-cold wind blowing from the White House?

Just last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked the United States to make it a priority of stopping Iran from pursuing the nuclear bomb that threatens Israel's existence.

Netanyahu didn't go to the White House seeking a photo opportunity. He went to ask for American leadership and support in dealing with the out-of-control Iranian nuclear threat that is primarily directed against the Jewish state. Israel's leader simply asked the US to help stop Iran from acquiring the means to inflict a holocaust on the Jews.

But the Obama administration refused. “Get going with the two-state solution”, Obama shot back, “and we'll be better able to deal with Tehran. If there is a linkage between Iran and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, I personally believe it actually runs the other way," the American President Hussein Obama said. “To the extent that we can make peace with the Palestinians - between the Palestinians and the Israelis, then I actually think it strengthens our hand in the international community in dealing with the potential Iranian threat." - The president went on to suggest that he might reassess his "let's talk" approach to Iran if, by year's end, there was no sign it was having an effect.

Netanyahu's position was that it is necessary to deal with Iran first, and with the "Palestinian" question later. - Netanyahu expressed his appreciation, but administration officials "close to Obama" later quickly emphasized that no deadline had been set.

I find it interesting that just two days after Netanyahu met with Obama, Iran successfully test fired a 'Sajil' surface-to-surface missile with a 1,200 mile range. Israel is less than 1000 miles from Iran just over one week later, America was standing on the edge of a potential nuclear conflict with North Korea, which test-fired an atomic warhead and launched a handful of surface-to-surface missiles in a defiant show of force. - How interesting then, that exactly one week after spurning Israel's appeal, the United States this week suddenly finds itself confronting a nuclear-detonating, missile launching North Korea?

It looks like Israel stands alone against the threat, but nobody will help America either.

When, in 2004/5, the Sharon government was preparing to uproot the Jews of Gaza, destroy their homes and hand over that territory to the Palestinian Arabs because America pressured Israel to expel the Jews from Gaza we had the Hurricane Katrina that caused the people to flee their homes at the exact same time. - :

“Was Katrina the fist of God?”

As we do unto Israel, so will it be done to us.

PRAVDA: 'American descent into Marxism happening with breathtaking speed'...

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama.

His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Weimar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses?

Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Israel and the Axis of Evil

Yet the nuclear test it conducted on Monday has the Israeli defense establishment up in arms and it its Iranian nemesis smiling like the Cheshire Cat. Understanding why this is the case is key to understanding the danger posed by what someone once impolitely referred to as the Axis of Evil.

Less than two years ago, on September 6, 2007, the IAF destroyed a North Korean-built plutonium production facility at Kibar, Syria. The destroyed installation was a virtual clone of North Korea's Yongbyon plutonium production facility.

This past March the Swiss daily *Neue Zuercher Zeitung* reported that Iranian defector Ali Reza Asghari, who before his March 2007 defection to the US served as a general in Iran's Revolutionary Guards and as deputy defense minister, divulged that Iran paid for the North Korean facility.

Teheran viewed the installation in Syria as an extension of its own nuclear program. According to Israeli estimates, Teheran spent between a billion and two billion dollars for the project.

It can be assumed that Iranian personnel were present in North Korea during Monday's test. Over the past several years, Iranian nuclear officials have been on hand for all of North Korea's major tests including its first nuclear test and its intercontinental ballistic missile test in 2006.

Moreover, it wouldn't be far-fetched to think that North Korea conducted some level of coordination with Iran regarding the timing of its nuclear bomb and ballistic missile tests this week. It is hard to imagine that it is mere coincidence that North Korea's actions came just a week after Iran tested its solid fuel Sejil-2 missile with a range of two thousand kilometers.

Aside from their chronological proximity, the main reason it makes sense to assume that Iran and North Korea coordinated their separate tests is because North Korea has played a central role in Iran's missile program. Although Western observers claim that Iran's Sejil-2 is based on Chinese technology transferred to Iran through Pakistan, the fact is that Iran owes much of its ballistic missile capacity to North Korea. The Shihab-3 missile for instance, which forms the backbone of Iran's strategic arm threatening to Israel and its Arab neighbors is simply an Iranian adaptation of North Korea's Nodong missile technology. Since at least the early 1990s, North Korea has been only too happy to proliferate that technology to whoever wants it. Like Iran, Syria owes much of its own massive missile arsenal to North Korean proliferation.

Responding Monday to North Korea's nuclear test, US President Barack Obama said, "North Korea's behavior increases tensions and undermines stability in Northeast Asia."

While true, North Korea's intimate ties with Iran and Syria show that North Korea's nuclear program, with its warhead, missile and technological components, is not a distant threat, limited in scope to faraway East Asia. It is a multilateral program shared on various levels with Iran and Syria. Consequently, it endangers not just the likes of Japan and South Korea, but all nations whose territory and interests are within range of Iranian and Syrian missiles.

Beyond its impact on Iran's technological and hardware capabilities, North Korea's nuclear program has had a singular influence on Iran's political strategy for advancing its nuclear program diplomatically. North Korea has been a trailblazer in its utilization of a mix of diplomatic aggression and seeming accommodation to alternately intimidate and persuade its enemies to take no action against its nuclear program. Iran has followed Pyongyang's model assiduously. Moreover, Iran has used the international - and particularly the American response - to various North Korean provocations over the years to determine how to position itself at any given moment in order to advance its nuclear program.

For instance, when the US reacted to North Korea's 2006 nuclear and ICBM tests by reinstating the six-party talks in the hopes of appeasing Pyongyang, Iran learned that by exhibiting an interest in engaging the US on its uranium enrichment program it could gain valuable time. Just as North Korea was able to dissipate Washington's resolve to take action against it while buying time to advance its program still further through the six-party talks, so Iran, by seemingly agreeing to a framework for discussing its uranium enrichment program, has been able to keep the US and Europe at bay for the past several years.

The Obama administration's impotent response to Pyongyang's ICBM test last month and its similarly stuttering reaction to North Korea's nuclear test on Monday have shown Teheran that it no longer needs to even pretend to have an interest in negotiating aspects of its nuclear program with Washington or its European counterparts. Whereas appearing interested in reaching an accommodation with Washington made sense during the Bush presidency when hawks and doves were competing for the president's ear, today, with the Obama administration populated solely by doves, Iran, like North Korea believes it has nothing to gain by pretending to care about accommodating Washington.

This point was brought home clearly by both Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's immediate verbal response to the North Korean nuclear test on Monday and by Iran's provocative launch of warships in the Gulf of Aden the same day. As Ahmadinejad said, as far the Iranian regime is concerned, "Iran's nuclear issue is over." There is no reason to talk anymore. Just as Obama made clear that he intends to do nothing in response to North Korea's nuclear test, so Iran believes that the President will do nothing to impede its nuclear program.

Of course it is not simply the administration's policy towards North Korea that is signaling to Iran that it has no reason to be concerned that the US will challenge its nuclear aspirations. The US's general Middle East policy, which conditions US action against Iran's nuclear weapons program on the prior implementation of an impossible-to-achieve Israel-Palestinian peace agreement makes it obvious to Teheran that the US will take no action whatsoever to prevent it from following in North Korea's footsteps and becoming a nuclear power.

During his press briefing with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu last Monday, Obama said the US would reassess its commitment to appeasing Iran at year's end. And early this week it was reported that Obama has instructed the Defense Department to prepare plans for attacking Iran. Moreover, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen has made several recent statement warning of the danger a nuclear-armed Iran will pose to global security - and by extension, to US national security.

On the surface, all of this seems to indicate that the Obama administration may be willing to actually do something to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. Unfortunately though, due to the timeline Obama has set, it is clear that before he will be ready to lift a finger against Iran, the mullocracy will have already become a nuclear power.

Israel assesses that Iran will have a sufficient quantity of enriched uranium to make a nuclear bomb by the end of the year. The US believes that it could take until mid-2010. At his press briefing last week Obama said that if the negotiations are deemed a failure, the next step for the US will be to expand international sanctions against Iran. It can be assumed that here too, Obama will allow this policy to continue for at least six months before he will be willing to reconsider it. By that point, in all likelihood, Iran will already be in possession of a nuclear arsenal.

Beyond Obama's timeline, over the past week, two other developments made it apparent that regardless of what Iran does, the Obama administration will not revise its policy of placing its Middle East emphasis on weakening Israel rather than on stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. First, last Friday *Yediot Ahronot* reported that at a recent lecture in Washington, US Lt. General Keith Dayton, who is responsible for training Palestinian military forces in Jordan stated outright that if Israel does not surrender Judea and Samaria within two years, the Palestinian forces he and his fellow American officers are now training at a cost of more than $300 million will begin killing Israelis.

Even more unsettling than Dayton's certainty that within a short period of time these US-trained forces will commence murdering Israelis, is his seeming equanimity in the face of the known consequences of his actions. The prospect of US-trained Palestinian military forces slaughtering Jews does not cause Dayton have a second thought about the wisdom of the US's commitment to building and training a Palestinian army.

Dayton's statement laid bare the disturbing fact even though the administration is fully aware of the costs of its approach to the Palestinian conflict with Israel, it is still unwilling to reconsider it. Defense Secretary Robert Gates just extended Dayton's tour of duty for an additional two years and gave him the added responsibility of serving as Obama's Middle East mediator George Mitchell's deputy.

Four days after Dayton's remarks were published, senior American and Israeli officials met in London. The reported purpose of the high-level meeting was to discuss how Israel will abide by the administration's demand that it prohibit all construction inside of Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria.

What was most notable about the meeting was its timing. By holding the meeting the day after North Korea tested its bomb and after Iran's announcement that it rejects the US's offer to negotiate about its nuclear program, the administration demonstrated that regardless of what Iran does, Washington's commitment to putting the screws on Israel is not subject to change.

All of this of course is music to the mullahs' ears. Between America's impotence against their North Korean allies and its unshakable commitment to keeping Israel on the hot seat, the Iranians know that they have no reason to worry about Uncle Sam.

As for Israel, it is a good thing that the IDF has scheduled largest civil defense drill in the country's history for next week. Between North Korea's nuclear test, Iran's brazen bellicosity and America's betrayal, it is clear that the government can do nothing to impact Washington's policies towards Iran. No destruction of Jewish communities will convince Obama to take action against Iran.

Today Israel stands alone against the mullahs and their bomb. And this, like the US's decision to stand down against the Axis of Evil is not subject to change.

Four Muslims arrested in plot to bomb New York synagogues

Four Black Muslims in New York don't seem to have gotten the memo that the jihad terror threat is all over.

WASHINGTON - Four men have been arrested in a plot to attack several targets in the New York City area, including synagogues, federal and local authorities told NBC News Wednesday.

Authorities said the four men have long been under investigation and there was little danger they could actually have carried out their plan, NBC's Pete Williams reported.

Investigators say the four, described as Black Muslims from the Bronx, had planned to place bombs at various targets. But New York city police and federal agents got wind of the plot and kept the men under careful surveillance.

In fact, officials say, the men recently bought what they thought were explosives, which they put in storage lockers outside the city. But what the men did not know is that the material they bought was actually harmless, sold to them by informants posing as explosives dealers....

Two years ago, two Muslims pleaded guilty to plotting to attack synagogues in Los Angeles. But officials said that they knew of no connection between those arrests and this latest plot in New York.

The FBI busted a homegrown terror cell late Wednesday night as the men sneaked around a Jewish temple in Riverdale planting what they thought were packages of C-4 explosives, sources told the Daily News.

The weaponry was all phony.

The men were arrested as they planted fake bombs in front of the Riverdale Temple in the Bronx and under cars parked in front of the synagogue.

They also allegedly planned to blow up a second synagogue, the Riverdale Jewish Center....

The Palestinans cry out that they can't exist, if they are not connected as one state. Everyone is listening to them. The poor Palestinians people have to live behind a wall.

Why? - Because they kept sending suicide bombers into Israel and that was one way for Israel to protect itself.

America built a wall on it's border with Mexico also. Is anyone upset about that?
